Much better than we expected.
Our expectations were high, but both the facilities and the experience exceeded anything we had hoped for.
Thanks so much for staying with us and having a great experience!
Great Home, Great Views, Great Access to East Glacier
Our family loved this home. We loved the open floor plan of the kitchen, dining and family room area. We loved the deck and its views and we appreciated that this home had a spot for everything - hooks everywhere to hang your coat, your hat or your Camelback.
There is easy access to both the St. Mary's Entrance to Glacier National Park and the Many Glacier Entrance and we spent a great deal of time at each.
Our thanks to Lew and Cheryl for a trip we'll never forget.
We are so happy that you and your family had a great stay at our house. It is such a nice base camp for exploring GNP. What about those Northern Lights! Pretty amazing that you set the alarm for 2:30 AM to see the Milky Way, and got the extra special Show!! We saw them the same night Unforgettable! The night sky over there is very special. Thanks for staying with us.
Amazing views! Wonderful family stay.
Our family of 8 had an amazing stay in Lew and Cheryl's cabin. The view was absolutely stunning. Lew and Cheryl were very easy to work with and answered our questions quickly. We saw lots of wildlife around the cabin and even saw a bear!
The cabin was very clean upon check-in and provided all the essentials. The only negative thing about our stay was the mosquitos, it made it difficult to sit outside at times. The owners did provide bug spray, so that helped. I was a little worried about not having cable tv, but that was not a problem. We had lots of fun just sitting around talking and looking for wildlife out the windows. There were also lots of books. The cell phone signal was low, so it gave us a rare opportunity to just unplug for a week.
The area around the cabin as we were driving in was a little run down, but once we got to the cabin, it was beautiful! Thank you for a wonderful stay. We would definitely return.
Hi Gwen, so happy to hear you and your family had a nice stay over there on the East Side of GNP. Sounds like it was alright to actually unplug for a little while too. We really are so connected to our devices, that we forget to reconnect with nature and each other. The cabin is a great place to do that. Thanks for staying with us, and leaving the cabin in great shape. Have a nice rest of your summer, hope to see you guys again.
Perfect home for a Glacier vacation
We stayed in this home for a week in late June/early July 2019 and everything about it was perfect for our first family trip to Glacier National Park. This log cabin home is beautiful and the views from the property are impossible to describe. There were seven adults on this trip and there was plenty of room for us all.
One of the best features of the home is the location. It is on the eastern side of the park with quick and easy access to both the St. Mary park entrance and the road to Many Glacier. We hiked every day and it was so convenient to be close to most of the premier day hikes in the park (Iceberg Lake, Grinnell Glacier, etc.).
The owners were great to work with and quickly answered our emails when we had questions. One of the owners, Lew, was staying next door for most of our trip. He came over to introduce himself and tell us that he was available if we had any questions or issues. One of the highlights of our trip happened on the morning of our departure. Lew came over to tell us that there was a bear in the backyard! What a great way to end an incredible week.
This family vacation was the trip of a lifetime and we appreciate that Cheryl and Lew shared their wonderful home with us for the week. It is a great property that is very near the east entrances to Glacier and we highly recommend it to others.
Girls weekend away in Montana
Perfect property for our weekend gateway, spectacular views of the sunset over the state park. Lew and Cheryl made it easy and comfortable for us. Highly recommended
Hope you guys had a good race. Thanks for staying with us!
It’s was beautiful views and close to east side of park. They had lots of extra touches
Our beautiful cabin was built in 2006 by Lew ,Cheryl and friends. It was originally built to access the amazing fishing that is known around the world for its trophy trout. As time went on we began to realize all the other things that make this place so special. Hiking in Glacier Park is world renown and the wildlife viewing from the decks and in the park is unforgettable. Spending time indoors and outside in this area is truly unforgettable. One of our favorite past times after a day of fishing, hiking or biking is watching the magnificent sunsets from our covered decks.
