This condo was very clean and . Mr. Lemmel was great to rent from and very easy to get ahold of, he went out of his way to make our vacation the best ! Only recommendation for this unit would be to replace beds with more comfortable mattresses. They need to be replaced!! All in all it is a great place to stay and this unit is very reasonably priced and well worth it! Had a great vacation!
This review may be because we generally stay in nicer condos, we were only staying 5 nights and had difficulty booking something for less than a week in July. The location was very convenient, the cooking utensils were very bare minimum. The condominium itself was old... Smelled musky and the beds were hands down the most uncomfortable beds I've ever slept in. There was cable t.v. Though and the pool was very decent sized, the beach was not over populated which is often why we chose Amelia Island dispite the smell (from the paper factory?). Make sure to grab some bottled water also the water here is rough. Enjoyed our stay well enough. Won't book here again unfortunately but very much enjoyed our family time and the owner working us in for a stay less and a week long. Always appreciate flexible rentals.
We enjoyed our stay in this condo very much. The parking was easy and plenty of spaces were available. The property was quiet and well maintained. The pool cleaner came twice during our visit. The condo itself servered our needs fine. The kitchen doesn't have a lot, but I was still able to cook dinner each night for my family. The owner was very responsive with questions I had. We are looking forward to staying here again.
As stated from other people that have rented, it is a very nice condo, awesome ocean view, easy beach access and very clean.
However, I'm really surprised that other people have not commented on the lack of anything "helpful" in the condo.
They left us with a "starter kit" of paper products, ie. 1 toilet paper and 1 paper towels. No kleenex's. No spices, well, there was salt and pepper, but the garlic salt was all stuck together. The pots and pans were so old there was no non-stick anything and EVERYTHING stuck to them. No dishwasher soap. No seran or foil to save leftovers (or tupperware type products) No laundry soap. Boogie boards were broke. The master bath sink was very slow to drain, the dryer didn't hardly dry.
We have stayed in MANY VRBO's because we like to cook some of our meals. We don't expect to have to furnish it all for a couple of days, or we would stay in a hotel. It would have been an awesome place if the owner would just furnish a couple of things and keep the rest of it up. As I said, it was very clean and access to beach was awesome, and the master bed was quite comfy!
We spent many hours on the balcony when we weren't on the beach. The location was great; close to some great state parks. Cumberland Island isn't far either. The property was very clean, parking conveniently located, restaurants nearby. I took a star off only because the bed I used in the 2nd bedroom was not comfy, nor were the pillows, but I'm spoiled by my feather pillows and memory foam mattress, sorry, but had an achy back every morning. The great thing was that a long walk on the beach every morning was a quick remedy. Had a great time, loved Amelia Island and will go again.
