Paradise! This 2 week stay will be one our family will remember for all our lives. We came here with three generations to celebrate a 50th birthday! Spacious, comfortable gorgeous chateau with high end décor and accommodations for our large family. And about 2 miles to Aix en Provence. We took many day trips, enjoyed Aix, and also just enjoyed the ambiance of the chateau with its amazing pool and grounds. Wonderful gracious hosts who were incredibly helpful with ideas for area trips. We hope to return one day again - just didn't seem long enough time to explore the area, enjoy relaxed time at chateau and the amazing culture and food.
Lovely house, ……. lovely holidays! The best was the chef coming in the morning to take us to the local market to buy food and teach us to cook at the house afterwards. We had a great time as a family ;) …… and the children used much of the swimming pool (weather fantastic all week), the garden and we had all our meals outdoor around a big table. The house is old but very well renovated and with a great atmosphere. We loved going into town nearby, we visited some wine estates a few km away and enjoyed the sun. The kitchen is well equipped and everything needed is provided including a bottle of rosé wine on arrival which was nice!!!!. The service was good, the only negative is that the house does not have air conditioning (the walls are thick so it was ok at night). Provence is amazing in summer and good value for a family holiday.
We stayed at Pavillon Xavier for a family reunion. The entire family enjoyed the experience very much! The owners are lovely and the house is beautifully renovated with a perfect size swimming pool and lots of places for having breakfast or meals outside in the property (our favorite was the candle lit dinner outside with a big table next to the fish pond and the stars above us in the heart of Provence!!!). The service was excellent, including the possibility to hire a chef which we did to cook at home and organize also cooking courses, visits to the food market, etc: it was brilliant! The house is walking distance to the old (pedestrian only) town of Aix en Provence; we also visited nearby wineyards to stock on local rosé for our stay and attended the music festival nearby. One day we went to the beach also only 45 minutes drive. We loved it and expect to come back next year to make it a regular stay.
