recently my husband, son and daughter-in-law and their baby spent a delightful week at the antique cottage in Chatham....it's not an antique! It's a wonderful, fully equipped, air conditioned house within walking distance of two beaches with a lovely screen porch and a delightful back yard. The house was tastefully decorated but very comfortable. Beach equipment, a gas grill, chairs, toys, games, internet, two tvs-the house had it all...and it was immaculate. Having rented other homes, I can highly recommend this cottage for anyone who loves the Cape and wants to be in Chatham.
We had a wonderful stay at the antique cottage!! We had 4 adults and two small boys, and the cottage was a perfect choice for us. The cottage is so unique and charming, and the boys loved exploring the home and the property outside. Everything was perfectly clean and well kept, and the house was equipped with everything we needed. There are many beaches within a short drive (or even a short walk). Chatham is a charming town and in a convenient location on the cape to explore other towns. We were all pleased with the house and very sad to leave. Thanks for the great experience!!
My friends and I had a fantastic reunion at this wonderful home in September. The property was even better than we expected. it was very well equipped and I could tell that the owner (Dore) had given a lot of thought to every amenity that is there. You can walk right into this house and you have everything that you need for a wonderful vacation. The kitchen was extremely well equipped, there was a wonderful state of the art barbecue in the backyard, a complete library of up to date books, all sorts of games, beach chairs and umbrella, etc. During the week i was there, 5 of us stayed there off and on and there was ample room for everybody. The porch and kitchen were wonderful and the grounds are beautifully landscaped. The house is very accessible to several restaurants and some really beautiful beaches. The house was spotlessly clean and the owner Dore was lovely and very accommodating whenever we needed her to answer questions, etc.
My friends and I have been renting homes in various locations for over 10 years and this was one of the very best. Thank you Dore. Your generous hospitality was sincerely appreciated and we definitely plan to return sometime.
Our favorite restaurant near the house was L'Alouette in Harwich, which is a wonderful French Bistro. it is reasonably priced with great food.
The antique cottage in Chatham is the perfect house for a relaxing family vacation. We visited early fall when the leaves were changing, and we had a wonderful time. The house is very comfortable- we felt as if we were right at home the minute we walked in the door. The rooms have plenty of antique charm but are updated and well taken care of and equipped with all of your needs such as: a dishwasher, washer and dryer in the kitchen, two TVs with cable, Wi-Fi, etc...There is plenty of space to spread out. My wife and I stayed with our newborn and we had both sets of our parents come and stay with us throughout the week. We were all very comfortable- there are two dining spaces- one in the kitchen and one dining area making it easy to relax and have family dinners. The sun porch is cozy and a nice place to relax. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach which wasn't crowded. We found some affordable, delicious restaurants in the area and the supermarket in town was great and had all of the needs for our growing newborn. We wish the weather was better so we could enjoy the fire pit outback- looks like fun! All in all, the stay was very enjoyable and comfortable for the entire family. We would love to return. We highly recommend this house as a relaxing getaway for your family vacation.
What a perfect family vacation in Cape Cod. My family and i were thrilled with this lovely house which was even more beautiful in person. The 8 adults and my son who is two, were very comfortable and had more then enough space.
The house was perfectly clean, no dust and the decorations were charming and tasteful.
The garden is very large and well cared for, with many charming places to sit and talk .The yard area is huge an perfect for children to safely run and play. It was near to great places to eat and a short 10 minute walk to a pretty, quiet beach. Dore, the owner was so helpful, warm and welcoming! She was the perfect host who really made sure we were comfortable and felt at home. Children and adults will adore this house, it has something for everyone to enjoy!
This was our second stay at the Antique Chatham Cottage. It was just as special as the first time. My wife and I brought our mom's and our daughters , ages 3 years and 16 months.
My mom , who is gardening nut , particularly loved the beautiful yard. She spent hours looking at the different bushes and flowers. It amazing how lush it is after a long summer.
With 4 adults and 2 kids the cottage certainly did NOT feel cramped and we had plenty of room for everyone to spread out and enjoy.
We look forward to coming back next year and would certainly recommend the cottage to anyone looking for a great week at the Cape.
