Why Nancy and Ryan Soderstrom chose East Colorado Springs

This house reminds us of a by-gone era when life was slower and people sat on beautiful porches to sip iced tea. We love the history and charm of this home, and immediately saw the appeal of opening its doors for travelers to enjoy.

What makes this house unique

There is an amazing amount of personality in original wood floors and molding throughout this house. We find it to be a peaceful and relaxing place to be, particularly in the back yard arbor and patio.

Guestbook comments from the manager

Thank you for hosting us so beautifully. Our four year old wanted every day to come back to the "white house" and said many times how she loved her new house. The plush towels and cozy sheets made a wonderful difference, as did your special touches and toy room for both our girls. Thanks for helping to make it a special and comfortable stay!

Nicely furnished home close to the Olympic Training Center

  • 5 of 5

We were glad for the extra room in this house since we were travelling with Mom, Dad, teenage son, married son, daughter-in-law and 2 month old. We knew our teenage son would be on a sleeper sofa, but he appreciated the privacy of the sunroom and it was nice that we didn't have to make up the bed each day to get it out of the way. The son and daughter-in-law and their 2 month old enjoyed the privacy of the upstairs quarters. And Mom and Dad were comfortable in the room downstairs. The kitchen was fully stocked and we enjoyed the pancake mix, coffee, and treat bag left for us. We had to communicate about lightbulbs not working, but they came right over with extras. And we had to ask about what to do with the trash. We would definitely recommend this home if you are interested in the Royal Gorge (about 1 hour and 20 minutes away, Manitou Incline and town (15 minutes), Pikes Peak (15 minutes), and the Olympic Training Center (walking distance). We did not get to ride the Cog Railway to Pikes Peak because they were already sold out when we went to check the week before our trip, so reserve early if you don't want to miss out!

Cute and cozy

  • 5 of 5

The home was so cute, fun for my kids, clean and great hospitality. Everything we needed for cooking was available and the owners checked in on us throughout the week to make sure we had everything we needed. We will be going back when we are in Colorado Springs the next time!

Perfect Place!

  • 5 of 5

We had such a good time in Colorado Springs and were so lucky to stay at one of the Aspen Leaf Cottages. The hosts had incredible attention to detail and, literally, everything was perfect. Three areas of sleeping accommodations allowed us to spread out, large kitchen with everything we needed, fenced-in back yard, in walking distance to a great coffee shop! Very pet and child friendly. We can't wait to tell our friends they must stay with them if traveling to Colorado Springs.

Great house in a great location. We really appreciated the extra thoughtfulness of the snack bag, Pikes Peak pancake mix and flexibility on check out. Thanks to Nancy and Ryan for these kind gestures which made our stay that much more enjoyable.
