Our cottage is located directly on Lake Michigan, with beautiful sand beaches and dunes feet away from the main deck and walkout basement. We are at a low elevation with only 20 stairs to the dune. The house is nestled in the wooded dunes, with trees to shade in the summer and forested space between neighboring cottages that allows for complete peace and privacy. The Village of Pentwater is 1.5 miles south, and offers shops, restaurants, a great little library, streets for walking and many types of boating and equipment rentals and charters.
When entering our home, you’ll find a bright and airy new construction that boasts high ceilings, comfortable furniture, lots of glass windows and French doors that lead to the decks and beach. The kitchen has a very large island with seating for five, and the dining area seats another 12 comfortably. Gas range and electric convection oven, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, pots, pans and utensils are included, as well as dishes and glassware.
Off the dining room is a large all-season sunroom with glass windows top to bottom that faces west and opens to breezes from Lake Michigan – our favorite room for games and family conversation. The living area has a flat screen TV with cable and DVR, stereo, CD and DVD players. The basement has a second flat screen TV with cable and DVR, plus an air hockey table and bumper pool table. Ceiling fans throughout the house keep the atmosphere cool while allowing doors and windows to open to the breeze and outdoor sounds of waves on the beach. Central air and heat also are options based on weather conditions. Five bedrooms offer plenty of sleeping room and privacy for several families or a family reunion. 3 full bathrooms with showers as well as an outdoor hot/cold shower.
Five very comfortable bedrooms with high ceilings, lots of closet space, dressers and great beds can accommodate up to 12 people – 4 queen size bedrooms, and 1 additional queen size bedroom that also has a set of twin bunk beds. All bedrooms have ceiling fans and are carpeted and quiet.
The outside deck has plenty of space for sitting, reading, watching sunsets, and outdoor dining. we also have a lower deck when you want the cool shade. A gas grill is also on the side deck off the kitchen for easy kitchen prep and outdoor grilling.
We have wireless internet for those that need to stay connected.
Summertime at our cottage is a wonderful time – and provides a location that offers plenty of options for active busy families, and conversely, serenity away from everyday busy city life! Enjoy.

Our family has had a home on Lake Michigan in Pentwater since the 60's. This is a new home we designed and completed construction in 2008. This is our home so we only rent it for a few weeks each summer. It is a low elevation setting with easy access to the beach.
Body Surfing in the Waves, Sunsets, Dinner on the Deck, Walks on the Beach, Thursday Night Concerts on the Village Green, Ice Cream in town, Holiday Fireworks on the Channel, and Reading on the Deck or Beach or in the Sun Room.
We have been renting Lake Michigan beach houses for the last 10 years and this was far and away the most beautiful place we have ever stayed! We felt fortunate that the owners were willing to open up their vacation home to us. Not only was the home beautiful and very well maintained, the beach and location were great. In addition, the Owner was professional and easy to interact with. We will definitely go back.
The cottage was exactly as advertised, and we loved our time there. The owners have done an impeccable job of building and maintaining the cottage. We traveled here in early October, and we loved the immediate access to the beach and the abundance of outdoor space (including upper and lower decks) during the warm days at the beginning of our trip. It was also great to have a lot of indoor space for the evenings when it got cold and the few rainy days at the end of our trip (which helped keep us from going stir crazy with our two small children). It was difficult to pack up and leave! Strongly recommended.
