Every vacation home is unique, but few stand out from the pack as clearly as the Treetop Villa. In terms of location, design, quality of finishes and on-site service the Treetop Villa is unmatched on the peninsula.
In addition to being solidly constructed the Treetop Villa sports some of the most luxurious finishes available in Belize. Cut limestone tiles cover the floors of the living room and guest bedroom, while the master bedroom is adorned with a floor made of exquisite black poisonwood, one of many local hardwoods utilized throughout the home. Mahogany, with its golden brown hue is the wood of choice for all mouldings, doors, closets, and beds. Santa Maria trusses support the roof, and Cabbage Bark, with its ornate undulating grain, is used on the exterior staircase and for the beams that support the floor of the master bedroom. The kitchen and adjacent bar feature granite counter tops with a ceiling uniquely covered with wild cane. Mexican bowl sinks, tile and one-of-a-kind artisanal light fixtures give personality and flair to the bathrooms. The second floor veranda catches plenty of cool Caribbean breeze, while the veranda on the third offers a stunning view of the sea and nearby cayes.
Everything you need for a carefree holiday is at the ready at the Treetop Villa. Standard cooking utensils and flatware cater to six dinner guests. Appliances include a dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer with icemaker, convection oven/microwave, butane cooktop, and a stacked washer and dryer. 3 split unit air conditioners keep the house cool when the heat is on. A 32” flatscreen TV with 100+ channel cable is mounted on the wall of the living room, along with a DVD player. For those who must remain connected to the web, a wireless internet connection is included. For getting around we provide bicycles and kayaks upon request.
A special treat awaits our guests that will be staying with us from now on. The amenities of Naïa resort and spa will be fully available to our guests. The resort sits on 19 acres within Cocoplum, the same development that our rental homes are in and is immediately adjacent to them. Guests at our homes will have the exact same status as resort guests, including free use of the fitness center and main pool as well as access to Naïa’s three restaurants, world class spa and watersports area. The combination of luxury rental home and proximity to unparalleled resort amenities will be nothing short of amazing.
We know that when it comes to rental homes there is a wide selection. What makes this home special is that the level of personalized service matches the physical quality of the Beach Villa. Your hosts are hospitality professionals that take great pride in making your stay a memorable one, and will not think twice about going the extra mile for you.
The Placencia Peninsula is quickly becoming the new 'it' destination for people who enjoy the world class attractions of Belize's coast, cayes and interior. Cocoplum has become the premier private residential neighborhood on the peninsula. When you rent here, you not only enjoy a fine home, you also get quality of life. Traffic is minimal in the area, the landscaping is beautiful, and you have access to over a mile of secluded Caribbean beach, in addition to several beautiful park areas within the development. Cocoplum is situated between the finest culinary offerings on the peninsula: a 5 minute drive north leads to the award winning Maya Bistro, while going 15 minutes south into the heart of Placencia Village yields a surprising variety of fine dining and nightlife.

The Treetop Villa is everything we wanted in a vacation home — close to the beach, spacious, luxurious, well-appointed, quiet, relatively close to town/restaurants. Aaron is like a personal concierge. He picked us up at the airport, regularly checked in with us, made travel arrangements to help us transfer to the next stop in our vacation, and made activity and grocery recommendations. We planned our trip to be in town during the local Lobsterfest and we were not disappointed by the many uber-fresh lobster culinary creations. A few other things we enjoyed in the area: tour of the banana farm, bicycling around the community (bicycles provided by Aaron) Maya Beach Bistro, Tutti Frutti gelateria in Placencia, Rumfish y Vino restaurant. Also appreciated the secure feeling of being in a gated community. Thanks to Aaron for making the first leg of our Belize adventure such a great start!
This was the perfect venue for rest and relaxation from a high pressure career. The Treetop Villa was perfect for our visit. Cocoplum had 24/7 security and was very quiet. Exactly what we needed. We chilled at the beach across the street every day and used Cocoplum as our base for exploring this beautiful country. We toured the Reef and Silk Cay with Nite Wind Tours recommended by our host, Aaron. Great time with Tiger and Tipa. Tiger named almost 50 different fish while snorkeling and Tipa cheffed up a great barbecue for lunch. The Toledo District was awesome. The Punta Gorda Chocolate Street Festival was lively fun and Lubaatun Mayan Ruins were just too cool. The Mayan people and villages are a fascinating culture. As are the Garifuna people. Placentia itself is the greatest place ever. When the World discovers this place, it will become the next Maui or Cancun (hope not!)
In short, we are re-charged and ready to go for another year in the States. But we will be back! Thanks Aaron and the Cocoplum Team. Bill, Sherri and the Boys.
We would definitely recommend the Treeptop Villa. Each floor is air conditioned, the kitchen is modern and the master bedroom and bath is wonderful with a veranda off the bedroom. It was always quiet and Aaron was available to help us in any way to make our stay enjoyable. The beach is a very short walk across the lane and is a great place for walks. We enjoyed the restaurants in Placencia and enjoyed swimming at the beach at the harbor.
We were not able to scuba dive because of colds but found enough other ways to enjoy this country. We visited a banana farm and the tour was very interesting. Be sure to have some fish meals while you are in Belize. We talked to several locals and learned about the country.
The Treetop Villa is a very safe place to stay because of security at the gate.
Excellent and friendly welcome with a detailed and thought through guide on how to get there. House exactly as described and better. Beautiful location with everything you would need. Beach close by and with the chairs and kayak provided gave a relaxing holiday. Surrounding area provided the house within a safe and picturesque setting.
If you are like me you research, research and research before taking the gamble on where to stay for your hard earned vacation. By placing my bet on Coco Plum I hit the jackpot. Placencia seems to be emerging with lots of development and upscale properties available. If you want the standard resort / hotel feel this is not for you. With this being a true vacation rental I did not expect to get the handy informational and concierge services that were always readily available from the extremely friendly staff. From the guard at the gate to the exceptional guy Aaron ( who always follows thru)... they helped plan our days and pack them full of activities down to dinners by listening to our interest and guiding us in the right direction even made the reservations. Cocoplum is a new community still under development. Everything is as shiny as a new penny. The treetop villa is no exception. It came with Kayaks, Bikes, Boardgames, Wifi, Beach Chairs, Fully Stocked Kitchen , cell phone, fresh cut flowers.....the list goes on and on. The only thing we noticed as a bit of an inconvenience was no TV in the master bedroom. The couches in the living room are comfortable but more of a loveseat size. Curling up to watch a movie was still possible. It backs up to the woods with the immaculate beach directly across the neighborhood street. From the patios the ocean view is obstructed but viewable. Close enough to hear the waves and feel the breeze. I don't know if I would recommend the treehouse villa for a family with small kids as the second bedroom is segregated from the main area of the house on the bottom level. Perfect for teenage kids, friends, or two couples. There is no store, restaurant or any external amenities onsite...but if you don't feel like leaving I'm positive Aaron can make anything happen. We found Belize itself amazing and packed with things to see and do. 5 days were not enough. If you are the adventurous outdoorsy type plan an extended stay.
My husband and I just returned from six days here! The Treetop Villa is wonderful! It's very clean, quiet, private, well-maintained with beautiful surroundings. The property is extremely safe and secure. The owner offers lots of extra touches and amenities that sets it apart from other rentals. Visiting Belize for adventure or relaxation, you cannot go wrong with this rental. It is truly a lovely little "tree top" home...away from home!
