This vacation home is conveniently located between two of Michigan’s most sought after destinations: Mackinac Island and Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Mackinac Island has something to offer everyone, from its fine dining to its historic sites and fun-filled attractions. As one of America’s oldest established national parks, Mackinac Island State Park, consumes more than 80 percent of the island’s land and is open to visitors all year long. The Island has great kayaking, boating, sailing, and fishing options; if you prefer to stay on dry land, you can take in the breathtaking views on foot, by bike, or by horse from Lake Shore Boulevard, which encircles the entire eight-mile perimeter of the island. Or you can find yourself wandering beautiful sunny beaches and sky-high dunes at the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lake Shore. Whatever it is you’re after there are countless opportunities for discovery in northern Michigan.
Experience legendary northern Michigan golf, with courses including: Arnold Palmer’s The Legend, Tom Weiskopf’s Cedar River, the challenging Schuss Mountain course, the original Summit G.C., and of course Hawks Eye Golf Resort. Truly the best golf courses Michigan has to offer!
If you’re more of a summertime water enthusiast, this home is just minutes away from the Chain O’ Lakes including:
Torch Lake: Michigan’s second largest and most beautiful lake with a small beach area next to the Dockside Restaurant. Jet ski and boat rentals are available at Dewitt Marine!
Lake Bellaire: this 1,793-acre all-sports lake provides plenty of opportunity for swimming, boating, kayaking, waterskiing, windsurfing, sailing, and fishing.
Fishing Lake Bellaire you will find a variety of game fish such as trout, walleye, bass, pike, perch and many more. Lake Bellaire is a small but deep lake with a maximum depth of 107ft. The depth allows for trout fishing but still offers plenty of shallower depths, weed cover and riverbeds for fishing many different styles.
Elk Lake: This deep, clear, Caribbean-colored lake is very much a smaller version of the more famous Torch Lake, which lies just to the east. Elk Lake is part of a watershed that begins in northern Antrim County with Intermediate Lake, which is connected by the Intermediate River with Lake Bellaire.
Other Notable Lakes:
Clam Lake, Intermediate Lake, Lake Skegemog, and more!

Love this property and this was our second year staying here.
Shared this house with 3 families and we had a great time. Close to lots of beaches and things to do. Lots of room for everyone and we had everything we needed for cooking and sleeping.
Thank you, Marcus!
We had seven adults and two kids at this beautiful home and it was very comfortable and plenty of room for all of us. If you like to golf - this location was outstanding. If you like to shop - this location was in between Bell Aire and Alden (which are two really cute towns to visit). Overall I would recommend this house.
Would love to come back.
Perfect Cabin for a weekend golf get away. Pizza place Papa Ks nearby has the best bread sticks and you are just a short drive from Shorts. Don't hesitate to visit Hawks Eye!
Very Nice Cozy Chalet!
My family and I had a good time at our stay in this Bellaire Chalet.
The home was beautifully updated & Marcus was very easy to work with.
I would definitely recommend this property to others.
Good Times during a Wintry Stay
We enjoyed our stay at this home situated adjacent to a fairway of the Hawks Eye Golf Course. We arrived during a winter storm, and had 3+ additional inches of snow most days we were there, which was great for sledding and snowshoeing on the golf course and skiing at Schuss Mountain, which was just 10-15 minutes away. Note that if you arrive in the winter time, the drive is quite steep (a down slope to the garage from the road), and so a vehicle equipped with 4- or all-wheel drive would be needed to make it back up to the road. The snow removal service was attentive, and a snow shovel with salt that Marcus provided when requested took care of the rest. The accommodations were as described, and we enjoyed many family times in the great room with the gas fireplace warmth and expansive views of the surrounds. Bellaire is nearby with Shorts Brewery and some nice stores to visit. Recommended!
Beautiful and extremely clean home. Very impressive. A very relaxing place to stay
Sine the home has three levels it was easy to have both activity going on for night owls and also place to get away and rest for early risers. The basement was very nicely done and it was used quite a bit for social activities at night.
