Comfortable and Beautiful Stone Cottage

  • 5 of 5

I only stayed for one evening, but I will definitely come back and stay in the cottage again. The cottage is well maintained, and has been tastefully modernized with high open ceilings in the main room, and a charming loft over the kitchen. The homemade muffins on the kitchen table are a nice touch, and also delicious.

I look forward to coming back to the cottage maybe early spring of 2017 to check out the rebuilding of beautiful downtown Ellicott City.

Good spot for a family

  • 5 of 5

My husband was in Baltimore for an interview, and we decided to bring along the family for a mini vacation. It's difficult to find hotels to accommodate large families with small kids, but Dave and Jen were more than happy to work with us. The kids enjoyed having a little more space to play than a hotel and we enjoyed not trying to fit into one tiny room with all of us! All in all it was a good fit for our needs. Their great sense of humor and laid back nature made our visit comfortable.

Updated historic cottage

  • 5 of 5

We loved this cottage. It had lots of historic charm as well as modern construction and all the conveniences. The stone walls and huge ceiling timbers made for beautiful surroundings. And there were places for everything with a large wardrobe, dresser, hooks on the wall, and plenty of kitchen storage. We prepared our own meals during our 5-day stay, and really appreciated having a dishwasher! The owner was helpful and responsive. All in all a great place to stay.

Cozy and comfortable

  • 5 of 5

Thank you Dave and Jen for your wonderful hospitality during our week long stay.

This stone house/ cottage was a wonderful place to stay for our family of 4. The owners met our need for a pack and play crib for our 3 month old traveling with us. They had it all set up upon our arrival. The two queen beds down stairs were amazing memory foam type beds. We came and went as we pleased during the day and never once felt "watched" by the owners. The main house is in front, cottage shares the main driveway and is more or less in the backyard of the owners beautiful house.

We feel in love with Ellicott City and its charm. The house is in a short drive to most areas. DC was about 40mins way and grocery stores were within a 5 min drive.

Hope to stay again!

You won't be disappointed renting this cute place.

Historic and comfortable

  • 5 of 5

Awesome! We fell in love with this quirky, comfortable, historic cottage. Better than the pictures! The MUFFINS, coffee and welcome sign were a wonderful touch.

The cabin was clean, beds were comfortable and the BBQ in the back allowed us to grill dinners for the family. I was initially concerned about renting a property so close to the main house, but we never once felt as though we lacked privacy.

We now have a home away from home when visiting our daughter in Ellicott City! I can't wait to go back!

Perfect Location

  • 4 of 5

We were looking for a place to be our "base" while we toured the area and this was it. With it's full kitchen and room to spread out, it was more a home-away-from-home than a hotel would ever be. We loved the history of it, the tree frogs croaking in the evening and Jenn and Dave were as helpful as could be. Thanks for a lovely week. Be sure to check out Historic Ellicott City--so charming.
