A terracotta replica Chinese emperor welcomes you into Siren's Sons' foyer where a waterfall ushers you into this luxurious villa. Ahead is a cozy sitting area with six chairs and steps leading down to the pool level below. To your right is the gourmet kitchen, breakfast bar and dining area, with alfresco dining on the terrace beyond. The terrace has a gas grill and two dining tables each with a sun umbrella for shade and six chairs. The dining area has a 12 foot dining table with 14 matching dining chairs. To your left is a powder room, the living area with three comfy white sofas and media centers. Further to the left an archway leads to three air conditioned bedrooms (two king and one twin) and two bathrooms. The king bedroom with forest views has a separate outdoor entrance. The main level has Italian ceramic tiles on the floors, with scattered rugs and natural wood ceilings. Furnishings are largely mahogany reproduction Caribbean antiques with art work collected from around the world by the owners.
Siren's Songs upper level, accessed by a stylishly curved staircase from the main level has four air conditioned bedrooms, each with a four poster, king size bed and en suite bath, and its own private balcony with sea and island views. There is a sofa bed in a smaller air conditioned bedroom, which has an enclosed washer and dryer, perfect for small children who must be near parents. Another sofa bed is on the large atrium landing of the upper level. A deck with chairs extends along a portion of the upper level, with forest views, swept by refreshing Caribbean trade-winds. The upper level has wooden floors, with scattered rugs and wooden cathedral ceilings. Furnishings are largely mahogany reproduction Caribbean antiques with art work collected from around the world by the owners.
At the pool level, five fountains cascade into the infinity edge pool, which overlooks the lower level gardens, Caribbean Sea and several uninhabited islands. The pool is four feet deep and has benches along the sides for sitting in the pool. The pool is surrounded by green lawns and lawn furniture and there is a double sink wet bar. Additionally the pool level has a second grill. There is also exercise equipment, pool toys, beach toys, a half bathroom, outdoor shower and second washer and dryer. Under the wet bar is snorkel equipment pool exercise equipment and fishing gear.
On the beach to the East of Mermaids Chair, the land belongs to the owners of Siren's Song and they have for your enjoyment some umbrellas for shade, tables chairs and loungers. There are also three kayaks. From Mermaids Chair you can take a short hike across Little St Thomas to natural boulder rock pools washed by the sea. For the more adventurous a mile hike will take you to another beach within The Preserve at Botany Bay, called Sandy Bay. Mermaids Chair, Little St. Thomas and Sandy Bay are generally deserted and you will probably be the only people there. Spend your sun spangled days snorkeling, shelling, beach combing, fishing, hiking, kayaking, picnicking and luxuriating in the natural boulder pools.
