Fall break in NOLA

My family and I were very pleased with our stay at this property. The location is great! It was very easy to navigate from, no matter if we were going to the zoo or to French Quarter. The accommodations at the apartment were great. The beds were very comfortable as was all the furniture. It wasn't overly furnished which allowed room for three boys to play without worrying about them bumping into or knocking things over! I definetly would recommend this property to anyone visiting the city but would enjoy an 'at home' atmosphere when they are ready to rest.

Perfect, relaxing location just outside of downtown!

I cannot say enough good things about my experience here. It was the perfect location just on the outskirts of the downtown hustle and bustle! This work out great for us as it was myself, my wife and a friend of ours, all of which wanted to be able to slow down and relax a bit. Paul was extremely helpful from the start and answered his phone every time that I called. This is a perfect location for someone who wants to experience New Orleans, but still be able to relax and enjoy a view of the Mississippi without being in the middle of downtown. I will most definitely visit again!

We were visiting NOLA on business and this apartment was great! Good location, quiet, clean and everything you would need. Paul was very helpful and accommodating. We will definitely stay here again!

NOLA river view away from the craziness of Bourbon Street.

My wife and I stayed at Paul's place for a few nights this spring. It was our third visit to New Orleans and we were looking for a place close to the French Quarter, but away from the heart of the hustle and bustle. We really enjoyed staying at this location. First, Paul was an excellent host. He was responsive to our inquiries and seemed genuinely interested in helping us to have an enjoyable experience. We drove a rental car from the airport and there was plenty of room for parking. The building was modern and seemed to have been built or renovated recently. The apartment, itself, was spacious, clean and very true to the images and descriptions in the HomeAway listing. The beds and furniture are comfortable, clean and modern. There are many thoughtful amenities. We enjoyed the small, but comfortable balcony which allowed us to view the Mississippi River. I enjoyed watching the cargo vessels and barges flowing down the Mississippi as I pondered their points of origin, destinations and cargo. There is a definite industrial feel to the area. You know you are in a city, but the pace is not as busy as the business district and French Quarter. I would say that it is definitely not "touristy." However, the restaurants and shops of Magazine street aren't too far away. Some would enjoy the walk to get there and others would be more comfortable in a car. We used our rental car to drive to some of the restaurants and bars in the beautiful and sometimes funky Garden District, but we used Uber transport to take us to the French Quarter and the nearby NOLA brewing company. This place has an outdoor deck and lots of seating / space on two levels. The vibe is laid back and there are many fine beers and bbq selections to be enjoyed. Uber drives to the French Quarter and NOLA Brewing took ten minutes or less time each and the costs were quite reasonable.

Great apartment to come home to

We came to NOLA with another couple for a 4 day getaway. As soon as we entered the apartment we were happy. It was clean and looked just like the pictures. The layout was perfect for two couples as the bedrooms were at different ends of the apartment which afforded complete privacy. And the livingroom was so inviting that we could hang out, chat and watch TV on a huge screen. My husband spent time on the balcony and enjoyed being able to see the Mississippi River. Having Walmart so close turned out to be a plus. We got a ready cooked chicken there that was really tasty and were able to buy foods so we didn't have to eat all meals out. I never really thought of Walmart as a supermarket but it was clean and well stocked. Paul was terrific. He was very responsive to texts and calls and clearly wanted us to enjoy our stay. He was happy to answer all of my questions and let us check out late which was helpful since we were able to enjoy activities on our last day without having to worry about out bags. The location worked out really well for us. We enjoyed walking to St. Charles Street to take the Trolly to the French Quarter and we also took taxi rides if we didn't feel like walking. It was a $15 cab ride. Paul has a binder which lists various taxi services. We enjoyed all aspects of NOLA. The food was fantastic. Shopping, city bus tour, Natchez Steam Paddle boat tour , and my husband and his friend enjoyed the WWII museum. I have no reservations about recommending this apartment. You will be happy!!

Very nice apartment

We really enjoyed our stay here, it was a great, spacious apartment. Very clean and had all the amenities we needed, including some snacks and drinks on arrival! Our host was easy to contact and got in touch to make sure everything was going well.

It was close enough to get into town or back for $10-15 by taxi, or a 35-40 minute walk, and we were glad not to be in the middle of the party area when it was time for bed.

I would stay here again!
