Leinaala Condominium is one of the best kept secrets on Maui. It's small, only 24 condos located on the ocean with a beach that is never crowded, and a condo hotel with a lot of Aloha spirit combined with a helpful, visitor friendly atmosphere.
The first thing you see when you arrive in the condo is a unobstructed view of the ocean. Located in a quite secluded area of the building away from the pool you can enjoy oceanfront dinning from your private lanai. The other nice thing about this location you are just a short walk across the lawn to the pool or the ocean from the lanai. No trips up and down the stairs or waiting for the elevator in your wet bathing suit. For the tennis players it is again just a short walk to the courts from the lanai.
Our unit has everything you need, a fully equipped kitchen, ceiling fans in every room including the bath, also if needed air conditioning, island style furnishings, cable TV, including free high speed internet, HD DVD, and CD player. The master bedroom has a new queen size bed, and the second bedroom has two twin size beds that can be made up as queen size. The condo also offers beach chairs, beach towels, umbrella for the beach or the lanai and a hair dryer. Other amenities beside the tennis courts and the pool, are the coin operated laundry and a gas grill barbeque.
Leinaala is in walking distance to shops, restaurants and a market. South Maui also offers the best beaches in the world according to the annual surveys done by Conde Nast travel magazine. Golfers should try the championship courses at Makena or the nearby Silver Sword course.

My wife and I are retired and live in Carmel, California. HI # W80340385-01
Don purchased this condo in 2001
We brought here because its so spacious and beautiful.
The weather is so wonderful and the just sitting on the lanai is so relaxing enjoying the wide open views.
Unit 105 suits us very well.It is quiet, roomy, and comfortable.Easy access to stores, town, and airport.Off the road,in the middle of a large park with tennis courts on either side.Good beachwalking.
we stayed here 8 nights, myself and 2 daughters 8 and 9. it was a nice change from our usual hotel situation. we did need to wash towels once while there but other than that we had enough of everything. there was one boogie board and we purchased another which we left with another guest visiting with kids when we left. the patio faces the ocean and sunset just as described and a small strip of beach for walking and kids to play in sand/water. advise water shoes as alot of small rocks in water here but still nice and wish we had more time so we could have spent more time at the condo vs. running around the island. parking was a bit tight so dont get a huge rental vehicle. the master bed was a bit firm for me but i do have a bad lower back. the kids had a single bed each vs. having to share one and a shower rod was in shower to hang wet bathing suits from so that was nice. a longs drug and mcdonalds and panda express right up the street. we did the molokini snorkel tour with the pacific whale foundation -highly recommend., also did the maui gold pineapple plantation tour, tried to do road to hana which i know is excellent but almost at top and was told a mud slide with no eta so had to turn around and go back down. :( i would definetely do home away again and stay at dons condo again and if you have a late flight out check with AA condo if you can get a late checkout--i found out about this later but a great idea for those with later flights. we hit the walmart near the airport for groceries before ever going to the condo to stock up. only negative was at the pool when another guest or renter or owner rudely told my girls if they wanted to splash then their was an ocean for that while he was frying himself in the sun to which he could have easily moved his lawn chair to the grass outside the pool if he wasnt planning on swimming b/c what are pools for and swimming does require some splashing --believe he was on the 2nd floor on the same side as our condo but that was luckily our last day there or i would have had words......thanks much for letting us use your nice place with beautiful views and close to ocean!
So nice to sit on the lanai and look out at nothing but grass, palm trees, sand and waves. Watched the sunrise every morning while in my pjs drinking a cup of coffee.
Saw a ton of turtles from the shore in front of the condo. Wished I had put on my snorkel gear and gone in for a loser look.
Complex managers were really nice and welcoming and saw them every day riding up around the property. Pool was clean and warm. Loved the Hawaiian music CDs.
Condo was a little under stocked; 2coffee filters, 2 rolls of TP and only enough dish soap for 2 loads for a week long stay for a family of 4.
We had such a lovely time staying in this unit, and cannot wait until we can come back. The pictures very accurately portrayed the property, and the proximity to the ocean was ideal. Each morning we woke up before 6 am so that we could sit outside and watch the breathtaking scenery. The condo building itself is also very well maintained, and everyone from the owners, to the property management company, to the onsite caretakers were very kind and helpful. We ate about half of our meals in the condo, and also enjoyed exploring the restaurants of Kihei. We loved the fish and service at Coconuts, the coffee and breakfast at Java Cafe, the live music and interesting flavors at Nalu, and everything about the Kihei Caffe (where we went twice for breakfast).
I thought staying on the first floor was ideal for us since we had our children with us and could walk right out of our unit to the beach. We loved watching the kite surfers and taking quiet morning walks along the sand where we found the tiny digging sand crabs a delight. Oh, and I would be remiss if I didn't mention the pool, which the kids adored, and which had a really neat inlaid dolphin mosaic. We cannot wait until we return, and would love to stay here again! Thank you for sharing your home with us.
This unit is in a great area on the island, with really good access to places to eat and shop. The view out the back of the unit on the lanai is really remarkable, and watching sunsets while sitting out on the lanai was really great. Its very quiet, as it is set back from the street. The condo had everything we needed. We enjoyed walking across the lawn to the strip of beach on the bay.
travelling with our 16 month old daughter she loved the wide open grass area to the beach and pool. We found ourselves out there a lot during our week's stay. the condo was well stocked and we had everything we needed. suggest renting a car whilst staying there to get out and about on the island. clean, neat and i'd stay there again on the next visit. had a great time.
