We recently added as well apartments in the modern part of San Juan for you to visit and enjoy the "beach front" lifestyle of Puerto Rico and two "hidden get a ways" around the Island.
For the budget traveler this is a perfect place. It's very clean and close to all the spots you want to visit in San Juan. The decor is very basic, but honestly we didn't spend much time in the room. The only drawback is the karaoke bar next door and the bar across the street. Not always, but on some days it's very loud until maybe 2 or 3 in the morning. Once we figured this out we just took a nap at 4pm and stayed out very late. A good drink before bed and you are set.
All in all I would stay here again.
The studio on San Sebastián was my home away from home for my 3 days in Puerto Rico. Great use of space for a studio. Traveling with my nephew - the studio provided enough space and privacy. Furnished and decorated with thought and style. High ceilings with exposed beams and good natural light from the front of the studio and its own little courtyard at the opposite end...which is perfect for relaxing and hanging out, from running around all day. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need, and the grocery store is a quick stroll down to Plaza de Armas. Even with Old San Juan's high walkability score, the studio could not have been located in a better spot! Morning coffee and empanadas two doors down from La Tortuga. Plaza de San Jose a pebbles toss away to sit and people watch in the early evening and hang out with the local cats (I work in animal welfare). After day trips to El Yunque, Guavate and beaches...retreating to the studio to kick off our shoes and wind down before dinner and evening activities was perfect. Dinner locations, a skip away: Bodega Chic, Saint Germain and El Jibarito, all delicious with spot on service. Annett and team: AMAZING, from day one of communication, to my arrival - meeting me at the studio to drop my stuff off and giving me a quick "where I'm at and what I might need" tour with lunch suggestions, to ensuring that if I had questions or needed anything during my stay, I could contact her, to my day of departure when I almost unwillingly had to hand the keys over. THANK YOU for the professional and friendly service and perfect hospitality. I will definitely be in touch when I return. Puerto Rico ❤️...I'm yours.
Old San Juan is the oldest city on US Territory and part of the World Heritage. It is about 8 by 8 blocks of unique colonial style architecture and offers everything from restaurants, bars, Puerto Rican coffee shops, galleries, open air music, and nice paths to walk by the Port & Ocean, tourist shops, Marshalls, grocery store to a drug store with pharmacy. The closest unofficial beach is in front of the Capitol Building in about 10-15 walking minutes from almost anywhere in Old San Juan. The nearest blue flag beach is called El Escambron and can reached in about 25-30 minutes walking along the Atlantic Ocean or in about 5 minutes by car/ taxi or bus. Old San Juan has a bus station from where you can go to Plaza Las Americas, the biggest mall in the Caribbean, to the Convention Center, as well as to Condado and Isla Verde, the other two main tourist spots along the coast of San Juan. Condado and Isla Verde are the modern parts of the city and have great beaches, hotels & casinos & much more... Learn more about Parking in Old San Juan: Old San Juan provides free of charge on street parking, which is usually hard to find. It is more likely to find a spot between 6am and 8am and between 4pm and 7pm. During business hours and later at night it might take a while to find a spot and it can turn out to be challenging at times. All of our apartments are within walking distance of parking buildings and/or lots, providing overnight rates or hour rates starting at $1.25 and $0.50 for the additional hours. The most economic parking rental is a public lot by Paseo de la Princesa at the southwest city wall of Old San Juan. There are several parking buildings all over town: “Ballaja” on the northwest section of Old San Juan right by El Morro, “La Cochera” in the center of town on Calle Luna between Cruz and San Justo Street (which offers 24 hour rate for about $25), “Dona Fela” in the south center on Recinto Sur and the most economic parking building “Covadonga” right on top of the public bus station as well on Recinto Sur, one block east of the Old San Juan Sheraton Hotel.
