Two steps down leads to your private entrance for peace and quite from the busy city. The hallway brings you to a large, open modern kitchen and living/dining area with large-screen cable TV, and air conditioner and door to the garden. There is also an office ( can be converted to a bedroom, sleeps 1) with a large picture window to view the garden, which has seating areas and a fountain. The bedroom features a queen-sized bed, closet, TV, and enormous en-suite bathroom with radiant-heated floor, a hot tub, and separate walk-in shower.
This has been the primary residence for me and my family and now I'd like to share it with you, as I travel.
Jack Nayer Owner. Marisa Tesauro Manager purchased this apartment in 1970
I fell in love with the neighborhood. It's proximity to so many restaurants, cultural places and distance to Manhattan.
Location, location, location.
My family of three enjoyed our week in a lovely, well appointed garden apartment that combines modern convenience (a full, well-equipped kitchen, a huge TV set, A/C throughout) with an air of the times gone by (a multitude of books, magazines, pictures and movies, a private, tranquil backyard, the bathroom that is 'a religious experience"). Jack and Marisa went out of their way to make us feel at home; they immediately took care of even the tiniest concerns we had, and shared all sorts of interesting stories (about the history of the neighbourhood, the trips abroad....) and suggestions (as to what to see, where to eat....) I would recommend the apartment to anyone looking for a place to rest and regroup after a busy day of sight-seeing.
I simply echo the other extremely positive comments here. Jack and Marisa are wonderful, a lot of thought has evidently gone in to including cooking and entertainment tools that make it a real home away from home, the bathroom is amazing (my wife likes large tubs, and this one was as nice or nicer than ours at home), and the bikes (2) were great. Needless to say, the location is superb. For anyone wanting to experience Brooklyn, Prospect Park, or even Manhattan (it is a few minute walk to the Flatbush lines), this place is perfect. The back garden is even private (Jack uses his deck up stairs).
We had a great week stay in this garden level apartment. It was perfect for me, my wife and our toddler. Jack and Marisa were both available as needed and excellent hosts. We look forward to our next stay!
The apartment felt like home.....Owner & Mgr are super....very helpful with our goofy schedule
We stayed at this property with our two young children to visit family and couldn't have been happier. In fact, all who came over (and it was large enough to host visitors for meals in the garden!) remarked about what an amazing place we had found to rent. It was spacious, had all we needed and was very comfortable. Marisa was a great host and was proactive about checking in with us. The bathroom is HUGE and has a fun jet stream tub with lights that our kids loved. The laundry was conveniently located below us with everything we needed. The kitchen was fully stocked so we could make meals. We can't complain about anything. Oh, and it was conveniently located near Prospect Park (half a block!) and tons of stores and restaurants. The subway was a short walk away. We're sure to book here when we return.
We used the apartment as a base whilst we attended our son's wedding.Absolutely perfect.Exceptionally well equipped, spacious, comfortable and the garden was a real bonus. The photos do not exaggerate in the slightest.Marisa was most cooperative in facilitating our travel arrangements, both arriving and leaving.
The apartment is well situated for the subway and restaurants. The lovely Prospect Park is very close by.(as was our equally lovely new American daughter-in law!)
We'd recommend this apartment to anyone without hesitation.

The property is in one of the trendiest places in Brooklyn, Park Slope. There are restaurants, bars, shops, cafes, a library, movie theater, and banks nearby. Prospect Park is about 150 meters away, the Brooklyn Museum and Brooklyn Botanical garden are a 10-minute walk. The Barclay Center, only one-half mile away and can be reached by walking or subway, is a hub for music and sports events. The neighborhood is diverse and filled with things to do. There is a fantastic Farmer's Market held every Saturday at Grand Army Plaza. Also nearby in Brooklyn: the iconic Brooklyn Bridge (about a mile away), the Williamsburg area, and Coney Island.
A quick subway ride will take you to the lower Manhattan Financial District, Battery Park, the Staten Island Ferry, the Statue of Liberty, or Governor's Island. Midtown Manhattan is a little farther on the subway, for theater, shopping, etc.
