Situated on a 4.4 acre beachfront plot and built on three levels, this beautiful villa not only has direct access to Baie Rouge Beach but also enjoys superb views of the coastline and the island of Anguilla. The villa is also equipped with satellite TV and a stereo sound system throughout. Theres an outside living area, giving panoramic views over Baie Rouge and a large swimming pool and gazebo. Inside the property there are all the modern amenities you could wish for including satellite TV and iPod dock. Another bonus of staying at this spectacular vacation home is the staff. Help is on hand for housekeeping, gardening and keeping the pool clean and safe. Theres also agas barbecue provided so you and your guests can dine outside and socialize while watching the waves gently roll in just a short distance away.
Tastefully furnished, the villa has a fully equipped, open-plan mahogany kitchen combining dark wood and chrome to great effect. And theres a separate dining area with seating for six. The main living area is large with a framed view straight from a postcard and its yours to marvel at every day during your stay.
Joie De Vivre has three spacious en-suite bedrooms, all of which contain a TV, DVD player plus air conditioning and ceiling fans to keep you comfortable and cool while you sleep or just come out of the sunshine for a little while. All bedrooms have a king size bed for extra comfort.
As magnificent as this villa is, you certainly wont want to stay inside all the time. There are a lot of great attractions and activities nearby including Mullet Bay Golf Course and Saint Martin Zoo. There are great shops to be found a short drive away (under 15km) and another four glorious beaches within easy reach. The closest supermarket is only 1.6km away so its quick and convenient to stock up for those delicious barbecues or more formal family dinners. Joie de Vivre is more than just a vacation villa, its a way of life. And once youve experienced it for yourself, youll never forget it.
Please Note: Baie Rouge Beach may be affected by shifting seasonal currents and weather patterns. For the best swimming renters are recommended to walk down the beach near the public entrance where the waters are more protected.

Internet on the island can be inconsistent and signal strength is generally lower than in developed cities. As our guests in St. Martin, be prepared to work less and relax more.
Satellite television in St. Martin can be spotty so remember to set your DVR to record your favorite shows before leaving home.

We had a great time in our villa, and enjoyed the experience very much. Our housekeeper, Cassandra, was amazing and a highlight of the trip. It was a great property for us, as our kids are old enough to handle the separate suites on multiple floors, but this would have been a challenge with younger children.
The beach was beautiful, although more rocky than I expected, but this did not cause us any problem. It was also nice to have a local beach bar just a few hundred yards away. Also, it is always a nice day when you can wake up and see Anguilla out of your bedroom window!
Our biggest concern would be the safety and security in this area. We did not have a problem, but there were several serious incidents in the week before we arrived and during our stay. The town of Marigot did not feel safe, and I would not want to be there after dark, and I would not let my wife or kids off the property without an escort.
Joie de Vivre is a beautiful villa with great views, beach access and friendly staff. The only downside was the mosquitoes. That may have been time of year or that they just got rain after 5 months, not sure but they were bad. We really enjoyed all the different lounging areas around the villa and the grounds are amazing. Really was a great place to stay.
We had the most wonderful time on the island. The house is amazing, while way bigger than what we needed, we appreciated the living area space. The house is immaculate, and stocked with anything I could have possibly needed in the kitchen. The beds are comfortable. Sunsets were beautiful. Beach is awesome, and pristine. We will be returning soon!
The villa was more than we could have ever asked for. Luxury retreats did an amazing job of setting our activities through out the week. Joie de Vivre has an amazing staff, views, and great location.
This was our first visit to st Martin, we liked a few of the beaches (orient bay, palm beach, baie rouge), some beaches weren't great for kids (too rocky). Restaurants were great (la Cigale, spago). The villa itself was beautiful and the beachfront location was ideal. The overall layout of this particular villa was not well suited for traveling with 4 young children as the bedrooms were very spread out and we found it challenging to monitor the kids at night. Additionally, we had two meals catered in from a local caterer and they found the lack of a grill challenging, that would be a nice addition that the owners of the villa might consider, this was actually the first villa we've stayed at that did not have a grill (this was our 6th villa experience).
