|Minimum Stay||7 nights|
Immersed in the rolling Tuscan countryside, this renovated 18th-century home preserves its traditional architecture and offers guests one of the most authentic Italian experiences available at our villas in Tuscany.
Start your stay at PodereScopicciolo with a tour of the property, a Tuscan-style welcome dinner, and Prosecco toast with your hosts. The villa owners live in a separate pavilion on the property, and will be happy to share their local recommendations for discovering all that Tuscany has to offer!
Relax on the lounge chairs by the infinity edge pool surrounding by herb and rose gardens. Have your morning coffee in the gazebo set on a stone patio while enjoying the views. Later, enjoy an alfresco meal at the wrought-iron table, with food prepared on the wood-fired stone barbecue and pizza oven, or in the gourmet kitchen.
This villa was restored in 2010 with state-of-the-art building systems such as a ventilated roof and insulated fixtures. A geothermal system, combined with a radiant system under the floors, provides a cellar effect temperature in summer with less humidity in the air (thanks to dehumidifiers) and regular heating in winter. Thermostats in each room can customize the temperature with a few hours response time (depending on the outside temperature).The interior is furnished with family heirlooms, contemporary art and antique carpets.
Accommodating up to 12 guests, the villas bedrooms are divided between the main villa, with six bedrooms, and a guesthouse. On the ground floor youll find a king-sized bedroom with a private entrance to the garden as well as a smaller loft-style single bedroom. Upstairs are four ensuite bedrooms, including the master suite, with a walk-in closet and fireplace. The guesthouse features a king-size bed in the upstairs loft, as well a kitchenette, two bathrooms, and a living room with a sofa bed.
The small hill town of Casole dElsa is a five-minute drive away, with local restaurants and cafes. PodereScopicciolo is an ideal base for exploring Tuscanys attractions, from the historic cities of Florence and Siena, to the vineyards of the Chianti wine region.

Everything was spectacular!
Picture perfect from the setting of the villa to the high-end finishes and furnishings. The outdoor dining/lounging area, kitchen and pool area were our favorite spots. Plus we loved the sound of the sheep being herded in the surrounding meadows.
Cecilia and Marco were perfect hosts but non-intrusive and Anna Maria's cooking was amazing. She cooked our welcome dinner and then we had her prepare two other meals. Some of the best food while in Tuscany for sure.
All five couples raved about the experience, quality of the villa and the food.
Podere Scopicciolo exceeded our expectations...which were high to begin with. The location, the building, the food, etc. was excellent. Tough to leave that place.
Wonderful villa - the photos don't even do it justice! The setting is spectacular and the place is very spacious. The kitchen in particular is excellent, but every room was comfortable. We made use of the chef and had dinner at home every night, which was wonderful. Kids were able to swim and play. In retrospect I would have had the chef only every other night (or 2 in every 3 nights) as there was a lot of food. It is a bit further away from a town than we expected (although we didn't really try Casole d'Elsa much), though Volterra was convenient once we had identified it. Would have loved to figure out how to go hiking from the villa, but never really did. Those, however, are small items of note. Overall a great villa and great vacation.
Home is beautiful, very clean, and quite comfortable and has spectacular views in every direction.
Wonderful facility. Clean, great location, outstanding views
