Tucked behind palm trees on an oceanfront lot, Villa Oceanis is a perfect romantic hideaway or family vacation spot in Guanacaste. Enjoy the sound of the waves from the villas pool and outdoor living area or simply cross the lawn to the ocean. Though the two-bedroom house is secluded and private, its also just 80 minutes from the Liberia airport.
Start each day with coffee at the outdoor dining area on the sun-dappled deck facing the ocean, then adjourn to the decks lounge area or the pool, which has a jetted seating area. Theocean lies down a flight of steps from the lawn, and youll find snorkeling equipment at the villa. While away the afternoon in the hammocks or daybed, rinse off in the outdoor shower and prep dinner on the gas grill. Satellite TV and Wi-Fi ensure youll stay entertained in the evenings, and air-conditioned bedrooms ensure youll stay comfortable.
The villa is cozy yet beachy, with light filtering through the palm trees onto wood floors and white and gray paneled walls. Floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors open to the oceanfront deck on one side and the lush garden on the other. The open-plan living room, dining room and kitchen has a wall of built-in wood cabinets, a plush gray sectional and a round dining table. Accents like turquoise throw cushions and a blue backsplash bring the colors of the ocean inside.
Each of the villas two bedrooms has an en-suite bathroom with shower, air conditioning and a ceiling fan. One bedroom has a queen bed, and the other has a full bed and twin bunk bed. Like the common areas, the bedrooms are breezy and welcoming, with whitewashed beamed ceilings, rustic paneled walls, and colorful modern artwork.
Villa Oceanis is a 200-meter walk from Playa Blanca. By car, its 5 minutes to a grocery store and Playa Negra, 10 minutes to a church, 30 minutes to the Pinilla Golf Course, 40 minutes to a tennis court and the town of Tamarindo and 45 minutes to the town of Santa Cruz. The Liberia airport is an 85-minute drive away.

We spent a lovely couple of weeks at Villa Oceanis and the surrounding area. The inside space is quite small but was perfect for our family of 4. Pool and outdoors looking on the Pacific Ocean was idealistic! Felt very luck to have spent time here. The team looking after us was brilliant and helpful yet not intrusive at all. Our 4WD was good to have and made getting around easily.
Our stay at Villa Oceanis was amazing! From the views to the comforts of the villa to the warm, courteous, professional service we received from the Concierge and Team.
From the moment we arrived at Villa Oceanis, we were immediately welcomed by Petra. The villa was a cozy space, and we all loved the huge yard, pool and walkway to the beach. Petra gave excellent recommendations for local activities and places to eat.
We had a great vacation. The Vila was super nice and the outdoor of the Vila was amazing. The location is very quiet which was perfect for us. The kitchen was fully equipped, apart from oven, but the grill outside was a delight and did the work. The villa's service providers were all very kind and helpful.
We only had one issue. The WiFi hardly worked (although the house concierge tried to fix it for us over and over) and when it worked fine we hardly could open an email.
Over all we had a great time and would love to return to that dream house...
Villa Oceanis was a fantastic experience. Claire, the concierge, was fantastic to work with and she guided us with ideas of how to experience Costa Rica. The house is right on the ocean with wonderful sunsets, howler monkeys, iguanas and tropical birds. The accommodations were fantastic although the bed was hard as a rock (this works for some people but not us). If you rent a car, make sure you have WAZE on your smart phone as this is the only way to navigate.
Our stay with our 11 month old daughter was delightful!
Villa Oceanis was an excellent choice. It was just the two of us so we had lots of space. The villa is well equipped (any self catering property that offers a knife block with 6 sharp knives and a food mixer gets my vote). The owner also provided a small stock of good French wines at very reasonable prices which was a bonus. The staff were attentive and the villa and pool/garden were kept spotless and clean throughout our stay. The location is spectacular with great walks. Check out Hotel Deveena at Playa Negra for the best food around.
