Overview

About the property

5 Bedrooms, 4.0 Bathrooms, 9 Sleeps

If Chianti doesnt already mean wine to you, it will after you visit Campassole. Though this stone farmhouse has been impeccably restored, youll want to spend the day under the pergola or in the pool, gazing at the surrounding vineyards. The gorgeous rustic interiors make for a comfortable stay, but the views of the rolling hills will stay with you.

A long gravel drive approaches the front of the villa, then continues on to a tucked-away outdoor seating area. Sip a glass of wine and enjoy the view from under the pergola, then have an al fresco dinner and enjoy a different view at a third outdoor table. A flight of stairs leads down to a spacious brick patio, complete with chaise longues, and swimming pool, and theres an outdoor grill.

Indoors, the surroundings continue to wow as traditional style is given a modern twist. The living room has a white beamed ceiling and tile floors, and its plush sofas and large coffee table cozy up to a broad fireplace. Both the living and dining rooms have French doors that open to an outdoor dining area. The stunning eat-in kitchen has an indoor fireplace, stone countertops and beautiful tiled backsplash.

Campassole has five bedrooms and four bathrooms and can sleep up to nine guests. On the ground floor, a bedroom with a single bed and en-suite bathroom offers a private space. Upstairs, the master suite has a double bed and en-suite bathroom. In the other three bedrooms, there are a Queen size bed, a double bed and two twin beds.

If you can tear yourself away from the views of the countryside, the village of Radda is a short walk or drive away. The town of Greve in Chianti, just 12 miles away, has beautiful medieval buildings, a bustling market square and access to the main highway from Florence to Rome. For a bit of urban culture, visit the museums and churches of Siena, which is about 20 miles away.

Additional Information

SWIMMING POOLS - Swimming pools are not open all year. If your rental period is outside the period May 30th to October 3rd, please check with us that the pool can be opened. Swimming pools are not enclosed with fences and there are no lifeguards. Clients use of the swimming pool is at their own risk.

HEATING - Heating is available at an additional charge of 50 Euro per day and must be paid directly on the spot to the owner or his/her representative before departing. Please note that heating in Italy, when not subject to restrictions by the local Government, is more expensive compared to other countries. If you look for a property in low season, make sure to ask for an estimate of the heating cost. You may be asked a supplementary deposit for heating expenses.

WATER AND ELECTRICITY - Please note that most of the properties that we offer are not the typical purpose-built Mediterranean holiday villas. Most are converted farmhouses or former manor houses, full of character and history. Water shortages do occur; please use it sparingly during the summer months. At the same time, Italy is probably one of the few countries in the world where the government has introduced a system of electricity limitators to contain the national consumption. This means you must be careful when using more than one appliance at once because the limitator will shut the electricity off.

INTERNET CONNECTION - Many of our properties have an internet connection. From our experience, when a connection is interrupted due to technical reasons beyond our control, it is unfortunately very difficult, despite our efforts, to receive immediate assistance from some of the internet providers operating in Italy. We therefore strongly suggest that those who need to access their emails should bring their own BlackBerry, or a similar portable device. Please note that in any case we cannot accept responsibility for lack of these services.

LOW SLUNG CARS - VANS MINIBUSES - Most of our houses are located in the countryside. Some of them can be accessed only by unsealed roads and driveways. We therefore advise people intending to take a sports or low-slung car on holiday, to check with us first whether the access to the property allows for such a car. We advise against the use of vans and minibuses. Please always check with us, at the time of booking, if you are planning to use this type of vehicle when staying at one of our properties.

Advertised rates may vary according to the season and duration of stay

True Tuscan experience!

  • 5 of 5

The Villa was perfect for our family of six - with some room to spare. Authentic farmhouse with modern amenities made our experience very comfortable and relaxing. Would have needed A/C if the days had been much warmer! The kitchen was remarkably well stocked - could have used a toaster and a better coffee maker, but we enjoyed popping in to Radda for morning cappuccinos. Location close to the village of Radda was fantastic - we could easily walk in to town for shopping, groceries and many places to eat!

What a great remote place to spend a week in the middle of Chianti Reg

  • 5 of 5

The villa is a lovely place to stay in the Chianti Region and enjoy some fantastic food and wine with friends and family. We made several day trips to Florence, Siena, Palzanno, etc. We would go back without question. The 24/7 online concierge service is awesome.

Incredible views, relaxing, very comfortable.

  • 5 of 5

We loved being in the villa. The weather was very comfortable so we had the windows open all the time. You have the character of an old stone farmhouse but with all the comforts you would expect. (except only one person can be using the hot water at a time.) Loved hearing the rooster crowing in the mornings! The town of Radda was very quaint and had decent restaurant options. We used the villa as a central location to visit Florence, Sienna, winery tour, etc. The only problem was that to get to the villa you have to travel small windey roads and the kids in the back seats were always car sick.
