Ali's place was only blocks from the beach, walking/running, biking paths (The Strand). Ali gave us access to bikes that we could use at anytime. Perfect location for a rental. It was clean and ready to go for us. He even let us check in early which helped out a lot! Thanks, Ali! We really appreciate the hospitality ;)
Would definitely recommend this place.
I stayed here for a couple months during a work contract and I cannot say enough great things about this apartment and the manager. The view in itself is more than enough of a reason to stay here. Every night I would be able to witness the most gorgeous sunsets (usually with a glass of wine.) The apartment was extremely clean and exactly as pictured. The manager was great and always had quick responses to any questions I had. I stayed in the bedroom facing the street and unlike what others reviewers said I has no problem with the noise at all.
This apartment is in such a great location. Beach, restaurants, shopping, liquor stores and laundry are all a short walk away. The manager has bikes on the property and I was able to ride the bike on the Strand by the beach whenever I wanted!
I have nothing but good things to say about this apartment and the manager. I recommend this place to all of my travel nurse friends. I don't know how I am going to live anywhere else that will measure up to my stay here. I'm jealous of al the future renters!! Enjoy your stay!
Perfect for our family of 4. We tend to stay busy, so we honestly weren't at the condo much. But, it was an excellent base and nice place to come home to in the evenings. Fishbar is an awesome spot only a block away. Ended up being our go-to spot for snacks, dessert, drinks, etc. The food was great every time, and there's lots of TV's for the sports fan, too.
Anything good about the "close to everything" location and the charming, nicely appointed apartment were completely wiped out by the horrible traffic noise. Located on the corner of Highland Ave. (a highly traveled main thoroughfare) and 40th St., it is impossible to sleep in the master bedroom with the windows open, one onto 40th and the other onto Highland. Because of the traffic signals (that shine into the bedroom from both sides) vehicles have to accelerate from a stop and the motorcycles are especially bad. The weather was very humid in the 90s with no air conditioning so the windows had to be open. I slept on the couch to get as far away from the boulevard as possible which did help. Not good for anyone with a disability because of the long, steep flight of stairs to the apartment. The balcony is shared with the unit next door so if both sets of tenants are outside, you are forced to be together. If you open the blinds and windows onto the deck, the next door tenants stare directly into the kitchen and living room if they are outside or walk past from the stairway. If there are smokers, which there were during our visit, you can't open the windows or you get a room full of cigarette smoke. The third night of our stay there were 2 ladies sitting on the balcony chatting and smoking until 1 AM. I couldn't sleep on the couch or in the bedroom. I felt like a caged panther trapped in a hot box. I am shocked that no review mentioned the traffic noise and complete lack of privacy.
It was a pleasant place with secure inner doors and a nice view from deck. The traffic noise is a bit loud as unit sits on busy corner but once we closed the windows it was much better. I would suggest some kind of air unit in the back bedroom to keep air cool and provide some "white noise". There looks like there was a conditioner unit once as there is a brace at the side window. Shower was large and wonderful. Overall a great place for a weekend away. Could use a bigger coffee pot! For the faint of heart or handicapped, there are 20 stairs to front door.
Great view and close to everything you'd be looking for on vacation (restaurants, bars, market, beach). On top of all that the manager was extremely accommodating. Perfect getaway!
