The cottage has been extensively renovated to host our overseas home exchangers so it comes fully equipped for all you will need for a great holiday. It sits right in the middle of the farm, is well fenced and sunny, open spaces. Explore the wider Hawkes Bay: head to Napier for the day and experience the fun of the marine parade, or wander the district to the numerous wineries, sample the fabulous farmers markets, climb Te Mata peak, head to Sunrise hut in the Ruahines for the day...and at the end return to the comfort, peace and quiet of Pukerangi. Climb the local landmarks ( its free) walk the 4-5 hour loop around the back of the farm ( its free, too) and simply get away and enjoy. Drink that lovely wine you bought on the deck while the best Hawkes Bay food from your market shopping is on the BBQ...you cant beat it. Dive for paua at Pourerere, wander the coast line from Aramoana to Blackhead, snorkel the Te Angi Angi marine reserve...so much to see and do....or you can simply sit in the sun, read your book and recharge ( massage available by request).
We love it here and so will you....welcome to Pukerangi Station
As always if you stay on a farm its a great help to remember to shut gates when you walk the hills. We respectfully ask people to remember this is a working farm. If given prior indication we can arrange fishing trips, hiking/tramping drop offs and pick ups and winery tours. Talk to us about what you would like to see and do in our area and we will do our best to help. The main farm house is close by so any difficulties can be resolved asap.
Extras: Cleaning (Optional, NZ$60.00 per stay); Linen (included);
Bring your tent for the kids ( or we can supply one) so they can experience a safe outdoor setting.
Thanks for nice accommodation, very clean and tidy place.
We'll definitely might come back when we are planning to visit Napier next time.
Location is perfect for the country getaway.
We were a bit worried at first about the gravel road leading up to the property as it was steep in parts, but we got used to it and so did our car. ;)
Our second time back and this time during summer. We love it. It is clean, comfortable, cosy and most importantly safe. Our kids could wander around and we knew that they were safe. John is accommodating with the quad bike rides even during such a busy period for him. The kids are still talking about their stay even up till now. Love that we are near beautiful beaches. Thanks for making the holiday a breeze.
We liked the modern decor and the ensuite for mum and baby. The house is spacious, private and has a big yard for children. The setting is very peaceful, and it was lovely waking up to birdsong and stunning sunrises. We loved spending time at Mangakuri beach which wasn't too far away, where the children could swim and explore the rocks. There were a couple of surfers and divers there too, but not overcrowded. The children loved the pool, feeding the pigs and retrieving fresh eggs.
This place was absolutely wonderful. A real farm. So glad we found it. Close to nice beaches. Very relaxed setting. Accommodation very comfortable. If you need a break this is the perfect place to have it. Lots to do for families with kids. The hospitality was good and John was so accommodating with our son, giving him bike rides whenever he drove past the cottage. All in all a great experience and a great place!
