Charming brick home located half a block off Main Street in Driggs, Idaho-offering reduced rates for 5 days or more. All the fantastic restaurants and shopping that Driggs has to offer are within convenient walking distance and Grand Targhee Ski Resort is just minutes away. This 2 bedroom (1 queen, 2 twin beds) 1.5 bath cottage offers original beams and hardwood floors and a very warm and cozy atmosphere. Enjoy the new granite counter tops and new stainless appliances in the complete kitchen. The large dining room features plenty of space to feed friends and family plus a sunny window seat. Two desk spaces are available as well as access to wi-fi plus a cozy living room with flat screen tv. Laundry facilities (washer and dryer) are available in the basement. Nice sunny spot with front porch and private side yard-picnic table and grill are provided. Enjoy the great food at O'Rourkes, Teton Thai, Provisions, and Pendl's, located within walking distance from The Cottage. Shop at Broulim's Grocery Store-offering everything under the sun or Barrels and Bins Health Food Store for all you could possibly need. Two nearby pharmacies are also available at Corner Drug or Broulim's Pharmacy. No smoking allowed.

My husband , Cody and I live on our ranch in Alta, Wyoming just 7 miles up the road from The Cottage. We raise registered Missouri Fox Trotters and have nearly 100 chickens which we feed organically and in turn they provide us with fabulous eggs which we sell at our western store 'Broken Spur' located one mile north of Driggs. We also own Alta Realty located adjacent to The Cottage. Formerly Cody's law office, The Cottage has been renovated to it's present condition, maintaining the original hardwood floors, beams and windows. We love this valley and everything it has to offer--gorgeous scenery, skiing, fishing, horseback riding, golf, and fabulous restaurants.

What makes this house unique

When you stay at 'The Cottage' you can enjoy a day of skiing at Targhee then walk to one of the fine restaurants such as O'Rourkes, Three Peaks Cafe, Teton Thai, Pendl's Bakery, Tonys Pizza, Royal Wolf, Agave Mexican Restaurant or Provisions. In case you need to rent skis, bikes or outdoor equipment, three outdoor shops are located close by. Peaked Sports is directly across the street and Yostmark's new location is just 1/2 block away as well as Habitat. Broulim's grocery store is also a short walk away and offers great organic foods. Barrels and Bins Health Food store offers a variety of organic veggies and fresh smoothies. Beds feature Egyptian cotton linens and Ralph Lauren bedding. Enjoy eggs from our free-range vegetable fed chickens. Fish on our private pond at Sleepy Hollow Ranch in Alta. Take the bus to Grand Targhee Ski Resort-located on bus route-easy to catch!! The location of The Cottage has great access to all amenities.

Perfect home away from home!

Loved staying here! It was so close to restaurants bars within the town of Driggs. We loved sitting on the front porch relaxing and enjoying the quiet! Kathy was wonderful to work with and was very accommodating. We loved it here!

Best of Teton Valley

The Cottage in Driggs exceeded our expectations. Owner was incredibly easy to work with. Simply the best VRBO experience I have ever had. The property was nicely appointed. I sensed a little influence from DIY show "The Rehab Addict". A lot of little things that made the place seem more homey, made our stay even better. There was plenty of space for 3 or 4 persons. The twin beds in the second BR were comfortable, even though I am used to a queen sized bed. Bathrooms were very clean. Hot water always worked on demand (not waiting). The entire décor was extremely well done and in keeping with the craftsman style construction. The veranda in front was especially welcoming. We were a half block from the center of town. Walked to breakfast and dinner. Except when going out of town to eat, the only driving required was a short trip up to Grand Targhee. Even with heavy snow it was a short and pleasant ride. We had considered staying on slope at Grand Targhee, but when comparing the layout and amenities with The Cottage - it was a "no-brainer". It is always enjoyable when you arrive at a rental location and find it was more than you had anticipated. I would highly recommend this property!!!

Little Ave in Driggs, Id

The property had amenities that truly made it a home-away-from-home. The appointments were varied and interesting, from the sled converted to coffee table in the living room to the spurs for a lamp on the small desk to the roll-top desk in the dining room. The dark, rustic trim throughout the unit exuded a grand theme. Location was amazing! Within walking distance of Driggs' main attractions - dining, shopping, and sightseeing were literally a step away.

A fine location and a splendid home in the heart of Driggs, ID - near Grand Teton, well near enough!

While in Yellowstone we had the choice between Gardiner and West Yellowstone and found we preferred Gardiner hands down to West Yellowstone. While in Grand Teton National Park, one has the choice between Jackson Hole and Driggs and the choice is very much the same - a tourist trap versus a real working town. Driggs wins - no contest really. I mean Jackson has a Ripley's Believe It or Not - do I need to say more? Driggs has Teton Thai and Pendl's Bakery! And Big Hole BBQ is just down the road in Victor, ID - their Mac & Cheese should not be missed. And you have the added bonus of traversing the remarkably impressive Teton Pass every day on the way to the park. The sight of the valley with Jackson spread out below as you hit the apex of the pass is not available to those who only stay in Jackson. (Driggs adds only a few more minutes to your commute.) The cottage is a gem. One of the warmest and most welcoming VRBOs that we have enjoyed. The kitchen is well-appointed and surprise of all surprises - THERE WAS A TEA KETTLE! We drink tea. Everyone else in the dang world seems to drink coffee and every VRBO is well set-up for coffee drinkers but never for those who drink tea. We even travel with a "traveling" tea pot and no tea kettle is an inconvenience. Kathy listed the Broulim's Grocery store in her VRBO listing but failed to state that IT IS ENORMOUS! A huge grocery store with everything you might ever hope to find well-stocked and ready to consume. Gardiner does not have this - neither does West Yellowstone. Even Livingston does not have such a large grocery store. It's an asset. The house is well-located in town. Ans easy walk to Pendl's delights as well as Teton Thai (I have two words for you: Bison Pho. It's out of this world.) One could even walk to Broulim's. The bathroom is modern and there were more than enough extra towels and washcloths and the water pressure is very strong and satisfying. The beds were comfortable. But it is the atmosphere of the cottage that makes the place. Others have mentioned the lack of curtains over the raised decorative windows but we did not find this a problem. There was no ambient light to speak of in the night so no light shone in. And we are up with the dawn most of the time so I see it more as a natural alarm clock than a deterrent to sleep. Kathy sent a "welcome note" via e-mail. I always like to have some means of contacting the owner in case something goes wrong. Nothing ever does, but it's better to be safe...

Charming!

This historic cottage is updated with all amenities and beautifully decorated. Kathy greeted us and made sure all was well on our arrival. We loved being able to walk to resaurants for dinner and be in close proximity to our hiking trailheads.

As good as pictured!

We really enjoyed the Cottage in Driggs. The location is perfect for the Teton area, and the town is such a refreshing alternative to the crowds of Jackson. We loved the front porch in the mornings too. We typically stay in modern condo's when traveling, so an older home with character was a fun change. Our only regret was only having a week to stay. A "must" for your adventure list is a ride up the lift at Grand Targhee and hiking a few feet further up to see the most incredible view of the back side of the Teton's. Most of our time was spent in Grand Teton National Park, but the drive north to the West Yellowstone entrance was interesting as well for our time in Yellowstone.
