Quiet Location

  • 3 of 5

It is a very nice clean cabin. The location is a little far from anywhere to eat or activities that we wanted to do. At least 30 minutes to restaurants and groceries. We also could not get a cell signal and they don't have wifi. If you just plan on staying at the cabin it is great. If water view is important you should know it does not overlook Bass Lake, it is across the road from it and you can't see it from the cabin. They do have a canoe and kayak on Loon Lake about a 10 minute walk down the road. The main complaint I have about the cabin was the mattress and bedding. The mattress definitely needs to be replaced and the bedding was really bad. I was left two bottom sheets and the pillows were unusable. I had to go buy sheets and pillows to use during our stay. We also brought our own towels.

Nice getaway near the lake

  • 4 of 5

Thank you for sharing this home! So peaceful and close to hiking trails. The roads were not bogged with traffic which made dog walking and running safe for us all. Place was clean and everything we needed was available. Updated kitchen with all amenities. Family of five adults and one dog and we definitely had room for more!

We enjoyed ourselves so much! Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to unplug and unwind. We especially enjoyed the forest sounds from the barred owls. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

This place is amazing and beautiful , can't wait to go back up again !

  • 5 of 5

Just got back from a 4 night stay at this beautiful cabin and I can't say enough how beautiful and amazing it was ! The place was very easy to get to and not far from Saranac Lake or Lake Placid , very clean and organized with all the ammentities you need . They have a beautiful property with a fire pit area that we were able to enjoy and we also walked to the lake which was right down the road . The owner was very helpful with any questions we had and all sorts of travel books and brochures to enjoy when we got there , I would recommend this place to anyone it's beautiful , cozy , and perfect place to get away and relax with family :)

Beautiful Cabin

  • 5 of 5

Had a great four night stay at this remote cabin in mid November. Everything you could ask for was there. Great kitchen and wood stove. Very quiet and peaceful. Got groceries and a drink in Saranac Lake on the way in (Tops, Blue Line Brewery). Spent a day in Lake Placid. Highly recommend checking out the Olympic Jumping Complex (ski jumping) and the Olympic Sports Complex (bobsled and luge). There are several great restaurants and breweries in town (Saranac Sourdough, Liquids and Solids, Lake Placid Pub & Brewery, Great American Brewing, Big Slide Brewery). Also hiked Azure Mountain and climbed the renovated fire tower (1.8 miles, 950', 2 hours). Very scenic trail with great distant views. Everything about the Adirondacks was beautiful and this cabin was the perfect place to stay. It's obvious the owners care for the cabin and want you to enjoy your time there.

Perfect place to get away from it all

  • 5 of 5

If you're looking for a great, comfortable house with quick and easy access to the water, this place is perfect - especially for an animal lover who didn't want to vacation without their dogs! This is a beautiful, quiet home off the beaten path, it's worth noting that Saranac Lake seemed to be the closest town about 25 minutes away. The owner left some great recommendations for restaurants and such if you do want to venture out. If you're looking to stick closer to the house, the canoe and kayak on Loon Lake were great for a day on the water! Baker Mountain was also fairly close by and a popular hike for those interested. The Swedish Hill Winery tasting room & the Big Slide Brewery are also worth a visit if you enjoy a good wine or local brew. All in all, this is a great place to stay to just disconnect & unwind!
