Beautiful Cabin

  • 5 of 5

Had a great four night stay at this remote cabin in mid November. Everything you could ask for was there. Great kitchen and wood stove. Very quiet and peaceful. Got groceries and a drink in Saranac Lake on the way in (Tops, Blue Line Brewery). Spent a day in Lake Placid. Highly recommend checking out the Olympic Jumping Complex (ski jumping) and the Olympic Sports Complex (bobsled and luge). There are several great restaurants and breweries in town (Saranac Sourdough, Liquids and Solids, Lake Placid Pub & Brewery, Great American Brewing, Big Slide Brewery). Also hiked Azure Mountain and climbed the renovated fire tower (1.8 miles, 950', 2 hours). Very scenic trail with great distant views. Everything about the Adirondacks was beautiful and this cabin was the perfect place to stay. It's obvious the owners care for the cabin and want you to enjoy your time there.

Perfect place to get away from it all

  • 5 of 5

If you're looking for a great, comfortable house with quick and easy access to the water, this place is perfect - especially for an animal lover who didn't want to vacation without their dogs! This is a beautiful, quiet home off the beaten path, it's worth noting that Saranac Lake seemed to be the closest town about 25 minutes away. The owner left some great recommendations for restaurants and such if you do want to venture out. If you're looking to stick closer to the house, the canoe and kayak on Loon Lake were great for a day on the water! Baker Mountain was also fairly close by and a popular hike for those interested. The Swedish Hill Winery tasting room & the Big Slide Brewery are also worth a visit if you enjoy a good wine or local brew. All in all, this is a great place to stay to just disconnect & unwind!

Perfect week away in the Adirondacks!

  • 5 of 5

Every summer we rent a home in the ADKs for a week and we typically choose Loon Lake. This was our 4th visit to this lake but our first time at this home and we loved it. The home was clean and comfortable, plenty of amenities. The house has a large screened in porch, beautiful kitchen and a great campfire area. We actually loved that we couldn't get cell service, it allowed us a much needed break! Our teenage daughter enjoyed having the loft to herself and our little boys loved the trundle bed. We brought our own kayaks however there is a canoe and kayak available at the lake! During our week away we did plenty of fishing, kayaking and swimming. We also hiked Ampersand Mountain and drove up Whiteface Mountain for the first time - gorgeous views. The house is pet friendly and we hope to return some year with our dog! We absolutely loved our stay, thank you very much for having us!!

  • 4 of 5

The cabin, and the area were perfect to enjoy with our family. The listing had a perfect description of the home ad the home ad property was realy nice. I called the owner and he was helpful and pleasant to deal with. We hiked Cascade and Esther mountains the views were amazing. We found free boat launches on Powder lake and Lake PLacid the weather was perfect hot days and cooling water. Thank you for opening your home for other families to enjoy. My family is already thinking about a trip to the cabin again next year.

Wonderful Stay on Loon Lake, NY

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I really enjoyed our weekend getaway to this beautiful cabin. The description was accurate and the property clean and very well maintained. The owner provided outstanding customer service, including a list of suggested area attractions we visited - we loved Whiteface Mountain, and Lake Placid. I would not hesitate to recommend this stay to a friend or relative, and hope to visit again next year.

Beautiful

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I booked this cabin at the beginning of the year in anticipation of our vacation in late October. The cabin is beautiful! The place is stocked up with cooking appliances, blankets, towels, everything! There is a TV and a house phone.. (don't expect any cell service, at&t and verizon were both out of range)

The only thing you need is yourselves and some food! The area is quiet and private. The fall foliage all around added to the serenity. We may book this cabin again in the future!
