Could have been a little cleaner. Vents had tons of dust. Great location.

Ron's Condo + South Padre = An awesome vacation!!!
It was my family's first time to visit South Padre and we had a great relaxing vacation at Ron's Condo. My wife and I were concerned about Spring Breakers but security was every you looked from the front entrance to the two beach gates. I plan on going back to South Padre next year and Ron's place is where I will be staying with my family which included our 🐕.

Good location; amenities not great
We booked this place and then were told there was an additional $80 charge for taxes after the fact. The day before we left, we found out we would have to go pick up the keys about a mile away which is not convenient if you didn’t rent a car. They also told us that the property is charging $25 per person for wrist bands (which we fought and didn’t pay). The actual condo was fine. Nothing fancy but had a nice balcony overlooking the pool and ocean. Neither tv in either bedroom worked and the answer was to take a cab back to the property manager which we didn’t do. Also, the only way to get extra towels was the offsite management place. Pools were great but we specifically booked a place with a snack bar at the pool....it was closed our entire stay. We got a note one day stating the exterminator service was completed while we were out so weren’t thrilled people were in there without us knowing. Overall it was fine but would probably stay somewhere else next time.
We are truly sorry that the guest did not experience our normally high level of service. I think the issues were mostly due to communications. There first concern was that they were charged for local sales taxes after they made the reservation. This was true and since HomeAway no longer bills or collects these taxes, the owners must do so after the reservation is booked. This is noted in the Listing.
Although the spring break wrist band policy was in effect during their stay it got waived for them.
I did not realize that they did not have a vehicle. Had I known that, II could have arrange for them to check in at the guard house on the property and could have arranged for clean towels to be delivered to the condo.
They did not realize that Roku's remotes operated the TV's in the bedrooms and that the opening of the snack bar got delayed at the last minute to March 7th. They were concerned that the exterminator service was done while they were not there. What they did not know is that for security purposes a Saida guard accompanies the exterminator into every condo serviced.
I was pleased that they did like the pools and the views from the balcony of the pools and Gulf.
Very nice view of the beach, easy walk to beach, has an elevator and carts to carry luggage. The condo was adequately clean. Laundry machines are downstairs and are coin operated. When listed as an amenity I assumed there were laundry machines in the condo. It would be nice if coin op laundry downstairs was in the description of the property. The owner was responsive to questions.
South Padre Vacation
The location, cleanliness, and comfort at the property was excellent. Everything from check-in to stay to check-out worked like a charm. The owner was very helpful prior to our stay in addressing all our questions and concerns. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone and hope it is available the next time we travel to the Island.
We were pleased that they enjoyed there stay.
Golf: The 18 hole golf course is just a few miles away.
Ski: Water Skiing is done all over the bay.
