Beautiful house with fantastic ocean views! Plenty of whale watching from the front porch and upfront observations of young seals on the rocks right below the bluffs of the property. Perfect for a week stay for our family of 5. We had so much to do around Mendocino with hiking, biking and great restaurants. It was an amazing and relaxing relaxing stay right before the start of school!! The owners were great to work with and answered questions about our stay immediately. We will definitely be back again!
Absolutely perfect spot to relax and enjoy. Close to hiking, shopping and dining. Our favorite meal was breakfast in Little River at the Inn of the School House called Circa 62.
The home was clean and comfortable. When we were at the home we spent the majority of the time on the deck looking at the spectacular view.
The owners are very friendly and helpful. They were just a phone call away with any questions we had.
Thank you for the providing the perfect spot for a vacation with family. Hope to stay here again.
This was our first VRBO experience, and we were SO happy with it.
We felt at home experiencing our stay here.
The home was just as pictured and described on VRBO's listing....even better, I thought.
The homeowners were great at making us feel welcome and comfortable.
We are spoiled now for future listings and hotel stays.
Will Definitely return!!!!
Sea Tower was a perfect getaway spot. It's secluded but very close to town. The location is really stunning - right on the ocean with panoramic views in 3 directions. We stayed during whale migration season and daily could spot whales and dolphins from the wooden bench swing on the deck (and the living room as well). The home was comfortable and well equipped too. Our stay was a pleasure!
We had the pleasure of staying at the Seatower in July and absolutely loved the house and property. As many have stated, it's so lovely that many times we didn't want to leave the house to explore because it was that serene. The owners have taken so much pride in making this a place you want to return to. From the comfortable beds and soft bedding, to the glorious kitchen with a view that makes doing dishes not even seem so bad! We enjoyed many afternoons and sunsets on the deck and mornings watching the hummingbirds. We hope to return someday soon!
This spot offers all that visitors want from a trip to Mendo County. My wife and I go to different places on the coast each year just after Christmas to unwind. We stayed at the Sea Tower for 7 days and were constantly busy - mostly hiking from the front door to adjacent state parks, same with bicycle riding, and cooking our meals in the very well outfitted kitchen. If you need a pot, pan, or a particular spice, they have it. We felt at ease using everything - this is not our normal VRBO experience.
On some days we drove north or south to expand the recreation options. (We are not much for shopping but of course it's there.)
The cottage itself is very cozy, well furnished, and located on a bluff with breath taking views of the ocean and sunsets. The adjacent area is very nicely developed.
We must qualify our experience to note that we were there in the drought of 2013. There was nary a cloud, nor fog at any time. These wonderful conditions are not the norm for the North Coast in December/early Jan, but we booked this property assuming typical Mendo weather and the amenities (fire place, hot tub, WiFi, library...) would have worked out in any case.
Mendocino is a beautiful, rugged spot along the northern California coast. Most of the coastline here is cliffs over the ocean, but there are some beaches. Amazing trees, views, hiking, and fresh air, amid a great local community.
