European mix - but mainly Swiss - living in NYC since a little while.
I live according to two moto/clichés: 'carpe diem' & 'remorses are better than regrets'.
Traveling is a passion of mine. I can't think of anything better than discovering new cultures, and seeing new places. Wether here or there, I like checking out new spots and see what a city has to offer, socially, culturally, emotionally and in many other ways. I studied hospitality management, and still work in the industry: for this reason, I believe that I am aware of what someone is looking for when staying somewhere: more than just a bed, an experience.
In need to stay active both physically and mentally. I enjoy history. I like going out (restaurants especially) but enjoy staying in too.
Scott Borens purchased this apartment in 2014
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were in town to see several Broadway shows and each of the theaters was within a few blocks and an easy walk from the apartment. Scott couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful. We would recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a comfortable centrally located place to stay in NYC.
The apartment had lots of room for two people! The apartment was very spacious with two bathrooms (one full and one half). The view was great and having a door person was great every time we entered or left the building. We felt very safe and cozy in the apartment! It was in walking distance of Times Square and Rockefeller Center (we saw the Rockettes - awesome)! The two of us spent most of our days walking and there were places to eat and shop everywhere! We bought a bus tour ticket that allowed us to see the city and get off and back on. Macy's was unbelieveable with 9 floors of shopping! I will consider this place again on my next trip to New York! Owner was so nice and provided us with a lot of information we needed to have a wonderful trip and checked on us during our trip (via email). I now have wonderful memories and pictures to share with my family!
What a fantastic find. This place is drop dead beautiful. Right in the middle of all of the action of midtown. I could get anywhere in just a few minutes. All of the great restaurants in Hells Kitchen and it's especially great if you plan on seeing some shows. Just a few blocks away.
Scott is a wonderful host. He made sure the place was in tip top conditions. There was plenty of instructions on how to use the apartment. Which by the way, is brand new. It's so nice to have something so clean and fresh when so much of NYC is more historic. And if you are a shower person like me, you will love the bathroom!
The front desk was great. Very friendly.
We rented this property for a week to celebrate my daughters 40th birthday in NYC. Arrived by Amtrak train into the city and then a short cab ride to property. We were greeted by the doorman into a secure off street area and my 6 y/o granddaughter loved the fire and water features in the lobby.
The condo was well decorated and spacious. It was nice to have a second bathroom and fully equipped kitchen to eat breakfast or order in. The bedroom had a comfortable mattress and black out curtains which allowed for an afternoon nap or sleeping in.
It rained one day and we stayed at the property and enjoyed THE ZONE. It is a private area at the propert where we played pool, fooshball, video games, had a massage, sauna, relaxed reading in the mediation room and got to workout in the gym every morning.
Our host was most helpful giving us information to book events prior to our arrival. We enjoyed Carnegie Hall, A Back Stage Tour of Radio City Music Hall, the Rockettes Christmas Spectacular, the American Girl personal shopper experience and Tea Party, The Lion King, ToysRus, 911 Memorial & Museum, ONE World Observatory for a sunset dinner & One World Trade Center, Rockefella Center, Central Park, dinner in the financial district.
This property is centrally located, in theater district, one block off Times Square, close to multiple subway stations, with eating and shopping across the street. We felt very safe and made memories that will last a lifetime. I would strongly encourage you to consider this property when traveling to NYC
We got to NYC frequently and expected a lovely stay at Scott's apartment based on the pictures and description. What we received was so much more! The apartment is more spacious than is depicted on the site, and everything was extremely comfortable. The bedroom had tons of room for us and our things, and the bath had both a tub and separate shower. There was an additional 1/2 bath off the main entrance. The kitchen was easy to adapt to using (as we often bring back food from dinner for our next day's lunch. Listings of restaurants and the local grocery store provided by Scott was also very helpful (the grocery store has an amazing bakery, by the way). The living room sofa was comfortable beyond expectations, and the cable and internet worked like a charm! We did not want for anything throughout our stay and the building was secure and friendly. Scott was so responsive and concerned about our stay, it added an extra personal touch. We highly recommend Scott and his apartment, and would love to stay with him again! Thank you Scott!
This property is well maintained and super clean. New appliances make for a home feeling whether you're ordering in or cooking. The area is convenient for great theatre, restaurants, and is close to so many attractions. Very private building. The owner is very prompt and kind. I highly recommend this property.
