We stayed at Jenny's house August of 2016 and we had a wonderful time. The house is beautiful and has everything you need. We loved fishing off the dock out back. We caught a variety of fish including small mouth bass, blue gill, catfish and walleye. There is a beach and a place to fish down the block from the house that your able to use. Jenny was very easy to work with and provided me with all the information I needed. It was such a relaxing couple of days. I would definitely stay here again. Loved it!
We had a great time. The house was very clean and spacious. The view off the deck was beautiful as well.
My husband and I stayed at Jenny's house for a week and it was wonderful. The peace and quiet and relaxing atmosphere was perfect. Jenny was wonderful in answering all of our questions very quickly, and anticipating our needs. The little touches like kitchen spices, and nightlights made it feel a lot like home. There is a sandy beach area down the street that was perfect for launching our kayak and spending some quiet time on the lake enjoying nature.
It was over all a very enjoyable stay, and I would recommend to anyone wanting to get away and enjoy peace and quiet.
We had a great experience at the house in Gladwin over Memorial Weekend. My husband, our 4 year old daughter, and I rented the house for a peaceful getaway and that was exactly what we got. Communication and everything was great throughout with Jenny the owner. House was clean and perfect for our stay. I do see why it says the property is not recommended for little ones, the steps in the back are very steep for a little one and there is not much room to hang out in the back area. If we had more than one child it would have been more stressful. The houses are a little more close together than we are used to when renting up north but it didn't hinder our experience at all. We did so many fun things in town: there was a rodeo, a parade, great antique store, and a farmers market. It was quite incredible being right in the middle of several Amish farms and experiencing that as well. The house was a great landing point for us to venture to other cities and areas and come back to a clean house with cable TV. Would definitely rent again in the future!
We enjoyed the home. Very comfortable furniture to relax and rest. The house was perfectly clean and had everything we needed. Definitely enjoyed the Keurig! The setting on the lake was great. I was even able to catch a pike and some bass and bluegill right off the dock.
I love this place. This house is so clean and fully stocked. It really felt like home. The owner goes above and beyond to make people feel welcome. The fishing here is great. We saw fish jumping all the time. The lake has these beautiful springs throughout. There is amish in the area. There is a small beach/boat launch/park area within walking distance of the house. Even though there are houses kind of close it still was secluded, quiet and relaxing. I really hope everyone treats this house with respect so the owner will be renting this out for years to come, we plan on returning at least once a year! This really is a wonderful place.
