The North Side of Tremblant is the region's best kept secret! It is amidst beautiful nature, away from the bustle of the ski village and yet only minutes from Tremblant's North Side skiing and a range of local attractions.
North Side ski trails and its installations are very convenient! Parking area is close to the bottom of the lifts and there is no huge line-up to the chair lifts at the Versant Nord. Some avid skiers will drive or lodge on the north side just to have a quick access to the chair lifts. A cafeteria, ski rental and boutique are open to serve you during ski season. A few chair lifts provide access to the trails and the top of the mountain. IT IS THE PREFERRED ACCESS OF THE MOUNTAIN REGULARS!! Ski from north to south and back to north at the end of the day and be off your skis and in your car in just minutes..
Once the cold weather has ended enjoy this property overlooking a calm river. The property measures 3 acres without neighbours making it very private. Here are some of the outside features this property has to offer: a private hot tub with Bluetooth technology open year round, dock, canoe & kayak provided, fire pit, all around lawn, large decks with patio furniture and propane BBQ.

We booked this rental for a five night stay with great expectations based on the listing. The rental unit appears as listed however we encountered a number of problems.
The agreement for the unit does not state clearly what is included in the unit for towels and condiments and notice ahead of time would have saved us buying kitchen towels, hand towels, basic condiments, etc.
A key feature of the unit for winter was the hot tub. The hot tub was not to an acceptable level of cleanliness as family members tried using the tub and found a scum on the surfaces and the water mirky. We tried using the vacuum cleaner on the main floor and it was plugged and needed cleaning. We needed to use the washer to clean some clothes. The washer kept producing error codes that made washing the clothes problematic. We had to resort to other methods to clean the clothing items. The heater on the main floor was not working leaving the main floor extremely cold. Several lights were burnt out and needed replacing indicating poor basic maintenance. The fan in the upstairs bathroom was hanging out and was in need of adjustment. There were no stoppers for the kitchen sink making washing dishes a challenge. During the first few days of our stay our grandson discovered several sharp objects on the floor that should have been removed during pre arrival cleaning. Additional blankets were needed due to the -30C temperatures but kept in a locked cabinet and unaccessible. We had to remove snow and ice from stairs and the deck after our arrival as they were becoming a hazard.
Overall, I consider the standard of the rental unit below the price we paid. I tried the honourable step in dealing with the owner several times to resolve the issues. The owner promised to discount the fee or offer extra nights stay based on the problems we experienced. In the end he reneged using excuses that he could not transfer the funds and resorting to using insults to discredit any attempt to seek resolution. We ended the trip a day early due to the issues we faced.
The unit is close to the North Face of Mont Tremblant but this convenience was greatly overshadowed by poor maintenance and deplorable customer service.
We have stayed at several VRBO rentals locations and all owners went out of their way to ensure a great experience. Unfortunately, this was not the case with this owner. I strongly recommend avoiding this rental unit.
