Due to my job as a pilot I rented it out for many years only to make it my home in 2013.

Great location, Easy access, Wonderful Host

This was our 9th visit to the beautiful island. We always stay in the Pelican Key area due to the great beach, restaurants, and it's far enough away from the airport to not be bothered by the planes.

Martine was a wonderful host who is quick to respond with any questions we had. We always rent a car for the week and this year we rented Martine's car since she had one on the premises. This made it a quicker process when arriving on the island to take a cab to the apartment verses being shuttled to the car rental facility and then getting to your final destination.

The apartment itself isn't luxurious but is very clean and fully equipped. We chose it because it was just the 2 of us this year and it's across the street from the beach we love and our favorite beach bar, Buccaneer's. We could walk back and forth between the two and didn't have to drive anywhere for day time food and beach time. The apartment was very affordable and we enjoyed our stay.

I would say the negative is that it's not as quiet due to being so close to the road and the night time crowds at Buccaneer's can get loud. It didn't bother us though. Martine had a small fan I used in the bedroom and the ceiling fan and that would drown out the nighttime noise from the bar.

Over all it was a great experience!

Great view, and apartment had everything we needed

We stayed 4 nights here after a Windstar cruise, and it was perfect. The view from the balcony is fantastic. We had breakfast in the morning, and drinks at sunset on the balcony. The apartment is a little old, but it is very clean, and has everything you need in the kitchen. There is a small store about a half block away with the basics, and a full market about two blocks away, so you can stock up on the basics in the kitchen so you don't have to eat out all your meals. There are over a dozen restaurants within easy walking distance everything from high end French, to low end pizza, sushi, and of course fresh seafood. Most of the restaurants are on the beach, or looking over the harbor. We rented a car, and Martine has a parking place for this room, parking is very tight on the island, so this is important. Martine lives upstairs, always has a smile on her face, and is very helpful. My wife is an interior designer and kept talking about how easy it would be to make it look "cuter", but it was comfortable, and that is all I needed. We are planning another cruise next year that ends in St Marteen, and we will definitely stay here.

Great Location, Great Host

This apartment is exactly as described and pictured. The proximity of the beach, beach bars, restaurants and all that Simpson Bay area has to offer make this the perfect location for those that don't want to wander too far, but the apartment also comes with a parking space for those that like to explore - which I highly recommend doing.

The apartment itself is clean and spacious and the kitchen comes equipped for those that would like to prepare meals during their stay - not something i did much of myself as there are lots of great dining options nearby and it's vacation after all. If you do choose to do so, there is a large supermarket just a 5 minute walk away.

Martine was a gracious host, who met me upon arrival at the building and gave me the tour. She has prepared a binder of information that would be helpful for those that are not as familiar with the island and it is available in the unit. She also made herself available in case there were any issues or concerns, however everything was great and there was no need to bother her for anything.

Bottom line is that this rental is in a great location, had all the amenities I was looking for, and a host that is willing to go above and beyond to make sure that your stay is relaxing, comfortable, and stress free. I plan to return again, and have already recommended this rental to friends. Thanks Martine and keep up the good work!

super comfy apt

The apt is close to the airport ,about 15 minutes drive in traffic. The taxi was $12 for both of us.It is located just off the main road and within walking distance to many restaurants and pastry shops in Simpson Bay. It's easy to get a bus to Phillipsburg and Marigot,costs $1.50 to $2.00. Alot easier than driving yourself. The apt is spacious and well laid out and very well maintained. The king sized bed is firm and comfortable. The living room set is spacious and comfy. All kitchen appliances looked good and there was enough wares but we did not cook except make tea and coffee during our 5 days stay. There was air-condition and fans ,all in good working order.Bathroom was spacious and clean,enough towels and cleaning supplies.

We loved the balcony best of all -- the view is priceless. This apt is located in the perfect spot,the view of Simpson Bay is so lovely and to have a sea bathe you just have to cross the road.The water is calm like a pool.

Martine is a very pleasant and gracious owner who gave us a bottle of Prosecco for our anniversary which we appreciated very much. She lives on the next floor readily available if needed. There was no need because all info was written in a book.

We did choose the ideal accommodation at very good rates.

Delightful stay

Thank you so much Martine for you wonderful hospitality. This is an ideal place for a getaway or an extended stay. We rented her car and it worked very well. We explored lots of the island, we were very glad we stayed where we did. It's an ideal location. There is a Convenience store just down the street and a beach bar Accross the street. Don't worry abou the noise, the bedroom is in the back. Speaking of bedroom, it's quiet, super comfortable King bed and bedding. There are ample towels, lots of extras for day trips to the beach. The A/C worked superb. We loved our breakfast on the balcony in the morning, and a quiet sit before bed. And the View! 5 star!
