This home was perfect for our family vacation. It exceeded our highest expectations!
The table set with cloth napkins and the wine and cheese basket was a lovely introduction to a beautiful home.
You have helped us create a lasting memory for our granddaughters. Thank you😍
This property was clean and well maintained. The property manager was very attentive to all our needs - even an urgent care address when my granddaughter was ill. Be sure to take a walk along the water and enjoy the fresh air. Il Vecchio has delicious rustic Italian not to be missed. Don't forget to have sunset cocktails on the upper deck of this lovely home!
The Nautilus house worked very well for family. With all three bedrooms on different floors each couple had privacy and their own bathroom. Loved the gas range in the kitchen. The entire home was very tastefully decorated, and the view from the upper deck was incredible. We also appreciated that such a nice home was pet-friendly; there were even pet dishes available. So thoughtful. Special thanks to concierge Trish Cosand for her help during our long stay.
Our oldest son, his wife, and our two grandchildren visit each year around Christmas from Florida. We usually try to do something special for the kids (last year we went to Safari West for an overnight stay). In addition to an adolescent and toddler (grandchildren), we also have a teenage son and a small dog (West Highland Terrier). This year, we wanted our children and grandchildren to visit the Monterey Aquarium.
I was hopeful that we could find a special place that would accommodate all of us in a luxury environment (gourmet kitchen, large dining table, fire place, comfortable furniture and bedrooms, etc.). I've had very good luck with VRBO luxury rentals in several locations, including Kirkwood Ski Resort and Sea Ranch. I was pleasantly surprised when I found 3688 Nautilus, because it ticked all of our boxes—three bedrooms with great accommodations (including three bathrooms) on three levels, a gourmet kitchen, large dining table, an outdoor patio with grill, fireplaces in an open plan family room and the master bedroom, walking distance to the Aquarium, and dog friendly.
Sometimes a property isn't quite as nice in person as in the photographs, but it was just the opposite with 3688 Nautilus. The house is lovely and well appointed. There was a flatscreen TV in the family room with a sectional sofa in front of a fireplace, and each bedroom (3) had a flatscreen, so everyone could spend time together or alone, depending on his or her mood. My 19 month-old granddaughter and I took a nap in the bay window seat/bed. We prepared two gourmet dinners in the fabulous kitchen and outdoor grill, and we ate together at the large dining table. And there where three or four balconies (at least one on each floor), and a widow's walk balcony at the top of the three-story house with a beautiful view of Monterey Bay.
I strongly recommend this property for a large family that wants to spend time together and have plenty of privacy for adults and kids.
My husband and I rented this home to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We only had a few days but wanted to get away from Houston and be near the ocean. The exterior of the home is my dream home. The interior was very roomy. If we had our daughters with us, there would have been room for 2 more people. The interior is completely beach themed, no detail was missed. There is a small study off the kitchen. Everything was very clean, and this is the first home we stayed in that even had ziplock bags in multiple sizes, haha😉. Like I said, no detail was missed. There is nothing missing. The lovely welcome tray was so appreciated!! We found it to be very chilly in the house (December), and even with the fireplaces on, I was still very cold. We called the manager who brought us two space heaters (the house came with one already). She offered to have maintenance come to fix the heat (I couldn't get it above 62, which for us was a bit too cold). We opted to use the heaters, and didn't think about it after that. The walk to the gorgeous ocean is about 1-1/2 blocks. Absolutely stunning. The street was super quiet with other residences. The VIEWS WERE AWESOME from upstairs, and from all of the small decks. I loved the views out the master bedroom and bathroom windows. It was such a wonderful home.....I cannot say enough. We ate at Zum Sushi one night (excellent), met old friends at Peppers Mexican (ok...but we do have the best Mexican food in Texas, in our opinion).....and drove to Carmel another evening and had a delish dinner alfresco at The Forge (highly recommend). There is a lot to do, but I would have been happy sitting by the ocean staring at it all day. Thank you to the owners for creating such beauty in one space!!
We loved this home. The decor and cleanliness of the property exceeded our expectations. It's really well layed out for privacy - all three bedrooms are on a different floor of the house. There's a futon in the downstairs bedroom which was great for my son to sleep by us. We rode bikes (including my 6 year old) to starbucks every morning and also to Lovers Point which was a beautiful beach. We all wanted to stay another night or two, there's so much to do in the area.
