Overview

About the property

3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, Sleeps 8

Don’t pass up your opportunity to stay in Saugatuck’s popular Kingfisher Cove cabins. This quaint association is only three miles from downtown Saugatuck and features great amenities including an association pool and access to the Goshorn Lake fishing dock.

This cabin has all the hallmarks of a log home with a full compliment of rustic and nature themed décor. The vaulted ceilings and skylights allow for great light through the main living area and loft. The main living area has space for all your guests to cozy up to the stone hearth fireplace and enjoy meals around the dining table, breakfast bar or out on the screened back porch. The 55-inch flat screen TV in the loft is a great addition for watching the game or enjoying a movie.

The three bedrooms and two baths are spread out between two floors. The upstairs has the master suite with a queen bed and spacious bathroom with a stand in shower and separate tub. The main level has a bunkroom with two twin bunks that are great for the kids and a full bedroom. There is a full bathroom in the hallway between the two bedrooms.

Looking to spend most of your time outside? The cabin has countless options. There are six Adirondack chairs around the fire pit and rockers on the front porch. The table and chair set on the screened porch is great for cards or other games. Did we forget to mention the hot tub as well? You’ll never be left without a place to relax no matter the group size.

Larger groups love renting our other two cabins (#27, #28) right next door so you’re close but not too close.

This cabin can be reserved as a two-bedroom option during the off-season at a discounted rate. Please contact a Vacation Planner for pricing information.

Reviewer Comments:

We rented 4 of these cabins to house my daughter's wedding party and host the rehearsal dinner. It worked out perfectly. Each cabin was nicely furnished and super clean. The rental staff was very helpful leading up to, during and after our stay. I highly recommend this property!

Reviewer Comments:

Great cabin on the edge of town. Location within the community is great (at the end of the road, affording more privacy. Everything was perfectly clean and well maintained. Would stay here again. Short drive into town, made easy by the public shuttle.

Owner's Response: Great plug for the Interurban. If you're worried about finding parking downtown calling the Interurban shuttle is a great way to get around. Our property services team will be pleased to hear about the cabin's high marks for cleanliness and maintenance.

Good weekend destination

  • 3 of 5

The house was very nice and accommodated 8 of us very easily. There were at least 30 cigarettes around the hot tub and a few were even in the hot tub, which was a bit unsettling as we had small children with us. The communal pool was nice but unheated, so unfortunately we weren't able to use it much. Overall it was a good stay, I probably wouldn't go back.

Owner's Response: We are so sorry the hot tub area was dirty during your stay. We strive to have the home in perfect condition prior to everyone's stay but had we been notified about this during your stay we could have addressed it immediately with our on-call maintenance team. We did help this guest with the TV during their stay but the cleanliness issue was not reported until after their stay. After receiving their comments this issue was addressed.

Clutter, flat pillows, crusty silverware trays

  • 1 of 5

From the photos it looks great. Open the cupboards and you'll see disorganization, no wash cloths, no dish rags, ants, etc. Last time here.

Owner's Response: Our cleaning team found ants in the kitchen during the clean prior to this guest's stay and we had set ant traps the day of this guests arrival and called a pest treatment that came out the day immediately following the holiday. We make sure that the cabin is stocked with the appropriate amount of kitchen equipment but the organization of such things can vary as guests move things around. We provide all linens and towels and if something like that is missed we are a phone call away to run anything over or replenish used stock. We appreciate all feedback and must be accountable to all guest experiences- even when expectations aren't met. But it is important to note that we make ourselves available 24/7 and give guests every opportunity to contact us with their needs, from the time we meet face to face for check-in to their departure. This guest was still staying with us when this review was submitted and did not reach out to us regarding any of these.

Great getaway

  • 4 of 5

My overall impression and experience during my stay at Kingfisher 29 was amazing. My husband and I were there with another couple and a total of four toddlers between both families. This cabin was perfect! We in joyed the pool during the day and the hot tub in the evening once the kids were sleeping. The beach was a very short drive away and was super nice, white sand and beautiful blue water. The cabin was also furnished with all of the everyday necessities, all we had to bring was our food! I would most defiantly stay there again. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
