HOW THE RIDGE CAME TO BE…
Montana native Neil and his wife Jessica began looking for the perfect spot to build their dream resort after marrying in 2009. Neil was raised on a 1000 acre working ranch bordering the park and has always called Montana home. A carpenter and builder by trade, he and Jess wanted to build a five cabin resort to share with park visitors the glory of northwestern Montana.
Jessica Dalimata purchased this cabin in 2013
THE RIDGE AT GLACIER
In 2013 they found the perfect spot, untouched land on a ridge at the end of a county road one mile off of U.S. 2, and only eight miles from the West Glacier park entrance! In Montana terms, that’s right next door.
Neil began the project on the pristine land in 2014, designing a layout with a secluded feel where each cabin looks off of an expansive front porch across the downhill slope at the amazing mountain vistas across from The Ridge. Having worked with his father for years building cabins for resorts throughout the area, Neil brings to his own resort the finest design elements and craftsmanship that will make your stay a visual treat as well as a functional one. Come on out and let us share our dream with you!
We just arrived home from a four day stay at the Ridge and had a wonderful vacation. Our cabin was beautiful and absolutely immaculate, which was so nice. We had spectacular mountain views and easy access to Glacier park and the surrounding communities. We loved the seclusion of these cabins with the close proximity to all of the points of interest we were keen to explore. Thank you Neil & Jessica for a wonderful stay at the Ridge!
BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL cabin and location! We truly loved everything about this cabin, and would love to return in the future. Beds were very comfortable, and everything we needed was provided.
We stayed in cabin 2 (4 adults, 2 kids) for a week and wanted for nothing. The cabin has plenty of room to host 10 for meals (we were traveling with family staying in cabin 3) and is very conveniently located about 20 mins outside of the west glacier entrance. Rosie (their Great Pyrenees) is a fantastic dog too! Highly recommend. Would definitely return.
This cabin was clean and provided everything we needed for a great stay! The view was wonderful and so serene. The location was perfect 10 to 15 minutes from everything. The owners were available to answer questions within minutes and their dog Rosie was so sweet and always there to greet us! Highly recommend!!
The property is located at the end of a well maintained dirt road. The setting is peaceful and quiet. The cabin we stayed in was a three bedroom 1,300 sq ft two story. The bedrooms were large with very nice furnishings, and the rest of the house was furnished just as nice. Granite counter tops and hardwoods. there is an outdoor BBQ and rocking chairs for relaxing on the porch. Rosie the ever watchful Guard dog will stop by for visits and to lick the grand baby. She's a sweetheart! The owners live on the property, and aside from our pleasant check in introductions, we only saw them in passing, which is very nice when you really want to relax and chill. The park is minutes away as well as gas stations and a restaurants. We loved the place, and will definitely return for another stay.
My family and I had a great experience staying at The Ridge at Glacier. We stayed at the cabin for 6 nights while visiting GNP and thought the location of the cabin was great. It was only 8 miles from the West entrance to the park, which is extremely scenic and close to many great hiking trails. The cabin was very nice and extremely clean. It was the perfect place for 6 adults. The kitchen had everything we needed to make several meals at home and to prepare sandwiches and picnics when we were headed into the park all day. The fact that it also had a washer and dryer was very handy! We used it several times through the week. The view out the back of the cabin was beautiful and also private. It was the perfect place to enjoy coffee and read in the mornings and to relax with a drink in the evening after hiking all day.
The surrounding area was very pretty. My husband and I biked on the trail about a mile from the cabin and explored a local whiskey distillery. We also went out to eat at Glacier Grill (1 mi away) and enjoyed their pizza and burgers. There was also a bar called the Packer's Roost, which was very close, and we went there for one meal as well.
Jessica was extremely responsive with all of our questions about the cabin, payment, and with directions on the day of arrival. Further, one person in our group took a spill while hiking and scraped up her arm pretty bad. We were worried that she may need stitches and called Jessica to ask about a local urgent care. However, since Jessica is a nurse, she offered to come down right away and ended up bandaging up the wound. We were so thankful to have her close by and for her willingness to share her expertise. We will certainly stay here again if we find ourselves making the 18-hour drive to GNP again anytime soon. :-)
Glacier National Park: Crown Of The Country
By any name and from any view, Glacier National Park has a dramatic presence. Home to more than one million acres (1,583 square miles), the beauty of glacier-carved terrain encompasses wild meadows, glistening clear rivers, stunning 400-foot waterfalls, striking rock faces and dramatic mountain peaks. It's truly unlike any place on earth. The Going-to-the-Sun Road—an engineering marvel and National Historic Landmark—takes visitors through the heart of the park over Logan Pass and is one of the most scenic drives you'll ever take. In total, the Going-to-the-Sun Road is 50 miles of stunning scenic beauty.
While summer is the busiest season in the park, Glacier National Park is open year-round. Autumn offers a peaceful—and colorful—visit to the park, while winter provides a prime setting for snowshoeing, ice climbing, cross-country skiing and sightseeing.
Serenely perched atop a secluded setting overlooking mountains and forest, The Ridge at Glacier is just eight (8) miles from the park's western gate.
