This house is very spacious, totally fit our needs , very peaceful, clean, hoping to go back next summer
My friends and I had a great weekend at the lake front house. Some of my friends enjoyed the kayaks provided. The front yard was great for a few games of volleyball. There was more than enough parking. The house was very private. We enjoyed the fire pit by the water with the plethora of fire wood. The grills came stocked with plenty of propane.
Being right on the lake did mean that the geese had clearly used the yard. There are also a ton of gnats that enjoy the lights on the top deck, which is kind of gross. The house had some aesthetic short comings but nothing that inhibits a good time.
All in all it was a very enjoyable weekend and everyone had a great time.
Michael's house was beautiful, spacious and had everything we needed! I was a little concerned that our group of 12 would feel cramped but when we stayed - it felt like we could easily fit more. Almost all the windows had lakeside views. It was scenic, calming (despite some rain during the weekend). We even had a bonfire on one of the nights. The house also had boats, board games as well as cable TV in the finished basement. Michael was very responsive as well. Downside was that cell signal was a little low but it didn't really matter once you hooked up to the WiFi. I would definitely come back!
Rented this house for a family get-together. Had a great time bringing everyone together for the weekend. The house was very well-kept and had everything we needed. The lake was quiet and there were plenty of boats to get everyone out on the water. Michael was wonderful and let us stay late on our check out day since nobody was showing up to the property on the same day. Thanks for everything!
The property and house really exceeded my expectations. The house was beautiful, clean, and modern with plenty of space and a wide range of amenities provided by the owner which made for a really fun weekend. The lake was beautiful with very few people on it and the views of the lake from the house were great. There is also a local farm, Root n' Roost, which has fresh produce, eggs, and chickens which I highly recommend stopping by if you stay at this house.
If you are looking for a quiet weekend on a lake with family and friends, this is the place. There wasn't much in town, but Livingston Manor had some nice shops. Even so, the house is absolutely worth a trip.
I had only one problem with this place. The pictures on the site don't do it justice! The place is fantastic and comfortable and easily sleeps 12.
Pretty much every amenity is provided (boats, life preservers, toys, even a telescope for stargazing), there's a wonderful firepit by the water, 5-6 different types of boats, 2 propane grills, 3 decks, a hammock...just a great place to relax. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything one would need (include coffee maker and toaster) and dishwasher.
Clean up of the house was easy, the trash is inside the garage. The owner was extremely responsive throughout.
Would definitely come back!
