I grew up on Christina Lake, and feel so grateful to have now purchased my own home here. The best childhood memories have now become my best adult memories too. Nestled in the Okanagan/ Kootenay region of B.C. I have learned to appreciate nature and all its beauty.
The Owner purchased this cottage in 2010
Christina Lake is our family summer home, now my family all live around the lake, so this keeps me close to my roots. I love nature, so what better place to be than on Christina Lake, nestled in the mountains with all the sights and sounds of natures wildlife and beauty . There are many activities on and around the lake to enjoy.
The biggest benefits to the property are; the warm water, swimming, water /snow skiing, boating, cliff jumping, river and mountain trails and hiking, canoeing, snorkeling, diving, fishing, and evening camp fires, all play a huge part in living on the lake. There is plenty of stunning sightseeing viewing peaks of the lake. Wildlife is always close by. There is boat, kayak and cycle rentals around the area as well. As there is no beach at Reflection Cove, we request parents use extra care for children under 5. Reflection cove is a non-smoking rental property. At Christina Lake, you can always find something for everyone to enjoy. Come bask in the good times.
“We were so lucky to have found your spot; we've rented at Christina Lake before, but Reflection Cove is by far the best spot. Excellent swimming, the water off the dock is deep; safe for diving and jumping. Having the sun from 11:00 onwards until sunset is wonderful, and stretches the time spent in the water tremendously. The kitchen is very well equipped, outdoor furniture is high end, and plentiful. The house was so clean, and the deck, lakefront patio, and dock were all a dream to hang out on. What a great place!”
What a fabulous extended long weekend on our 2nd visit to beautiful Reflections Cove on Christina Lake.
The house and yard were extremely clean and welcoming. All the amenities you need to make your stay enjoyable. The house was stocked with whatever need we came across. There is no better way to spend a day relaxing in the sunshine on the beautiful deck and on the spacious dock, which is large enough to accommodate several people and water crafts. Great lounge chairs in the shade when it gets too hot and a fire pit for the evening fun.
The water is pristine and the mountain views are awesome, never mind the star laden nights.
We can't say enough about the owner, Rick. He is so welcoming, accommodating and truly cares about your comfort and needs. We would recommend this paradise on the lake to anyone! We all look forward to staying next year!
I have rented this Reflection Cove cottage on Christina Lake about seven times now. I am NEVER disappointed. I always know what to expect and what I am getting upon arrival ... first class accommodations on a fantastic lake.
The cottage is always clean when we arrive, and Rick always has a yummy lasagna waiting for us in the fridge so that we don't have to cook after a long drive (for us it is an 8 hour drive from Calgary). I absolutely love this spot on Christina Lake. It's usually hotter than a firecracker and the lake is so incredibly refreshing and clean. My son and grandsons love to fish on this lake ... good fishing! The dock is HUGE and can accommodate many people and many water toys.
I thought the place was pretty much perfect the first time that I rented it, but every year, Rick will make some improvement and is always asking his guests to let him know if anything can be improved upon. He always goes the extra mile. Any inquiries are always well responded to immediately.
I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone ... young and old alike. One can find sun or shade depending upon one's preference. Under the upper deck provides shade ... a great spot to lounge and read. Access into the lake is make easy by a ladder attached to the dock ... straight into deep water for swimming. Having a firepit is also an added bonus. Star gazing from anywhere on this property is truly amazing!
One does have to park up on the road, but there is plenty of room to squeeze four cars in.
If you're looking for fun, and the perfect spot on the lake ... look no further ... this is it!!! I can't say enough good things about the cottage and about Rick, the owner.
A very happy repeat renter
What a gem! This cabin is in a beautiful location on Christina Lake! South facing gets just the right amount of sun! The dock is the best thing about this place! Its a great place to lounge and hang out and enjoy the surroundings. Our kids had a fantastic time fishing off the dock!
The cabin is very clean and well stocked. Rick was great to deal with and the gift upon arrival was a surprising treat.
I would not hesitate to go back to Reflection Cove!
Upon arrival we were very quick to notice how clean and well prepared the cabin was for us...... it was even as if the deck had a fresh coat of cedar stain!! Parking along the road took some getting used to, but I drive a full size truck, so anything smaller would have had no problem. We spent most of our days lounging on the floating dock, kayaking along the shore and catching small Bass from the dock. This is the perfect cabin and location to fully unwind and relax. In town we found a small grocery store (AG) with a good selection of fresh ingredients and some really low prices. The Ice cream stand along the hiway was also a regular stop. We had some very hot weather during our stay, and keeping the Cabin cool was an issue some nights, but never a problem. Dealing with Rick was a pleasure, and he really seemed to want us to have a great time. From the pan of Lasagna waiting for us, to the full tank of propane on the BBQ, he thought of everything and more.....
Thanks for everything Reflection Cove!!!!
- Completely spotless, the cleanest rental I've ever stayed in.
- Lake House is a great size, lots of space for everyone
- The pictures in the listing tell the real story - we spent all day every day out on the beautiful deck and floating dock
- Tucked away in what I think is the best place on the lake to have a lot
- Wonderful host, so supportive and accommodating with everything
- Very professional, and responded to inquires promptly
- Well known in the community. Everyone knew him. Nothing but great things to say.
I'd recommend this as a place for anyone, really. It's family friendly, couples/romantic getaway friendly, relaxation friendly, but also great if you're looking for a handy spot to park your kayak/boards/boat and have easy access for recreation or fishing every day.
Property was as described in the listing plus so much more!!!
The 6 hour drive from Maple Ridge to Christina Lake was time well spent. Our journey took us along a wine route through the Similkimeen Valley, through the organic farming capital of Canada, and numerous historic small towns. The lake house was easy to find and everything was ready for us to begin relaxing immediately on arrival from the Gourmet Lasagna and fresh herb bread left for our dinner to the frosted glasses in the freezer ready for a cold beverage. The kitchen was very well equipped for the additional cooking we did the rest of the week, and shopping is close by in the town with anything you might need at reasonable prices. There are a number of trails nearby that would be suitable for hiking or biking: we tried the Kettle Valley Rail Trail and Cascade Gorge.
There is lots of fun to be had in the lake as well with boating and swimming (cleanest, warmest lake I've enjoyed in years); or get up early in the morning to sit on the large private dock and enjoy the peace and tranquility. The well arranged outdoor space provided many options for enjoying all your time outside and we ended just about every evening with a fire in the fire pit overlooking the lake. Rick, our host, also checked in on us during our stay and took us for a lovely afternoon boat tour around the lake.
Indoors and outdoors the property was very clean and well maintained.
Incidentally, a neighbor who was renting nearby floated over on her kayak to get the contact information on the property we were staying at .....
Red Mountain Ski resort just 45 mins. away. Enjoy award winning wineries in the Okanagan Valley, just 1 1/2 hrs away. The U.S.A. border is only a 10 min drive, and within an hour drive there are many other ski resorts and outdoor activities for the family to enjoy.
