The villa has a modern galley kitchen, a great room, vaulted cathedral ceilings and private pool, separating the two bedrooms. Tennis courts are on property for your convenience. The unit is amply equipped including washer/dryer, land line, flat screen cable TV and wireless broadband internet. Staying connected with the world is not a problem -- if you want to.
The property was very nice and as described. It was very clean and provided wonderful amenities. It was wonderful to wake up every morning and open the French doors and enjoy breathtaking views with your coffee and perhaps a quick dip in the pool before going out and enjoying the day. The outdoor area was nicely furnished and we ate every meal on the patio. It was a great place to feel at home while exploring all the island had to offer. Some of our favorite places were diving at Fredricksted Pier, golfing at Buccaneer, exploring Christiansted and enjoying dinner and drinks at Blue Water Terrace. Rob and Hortensia were extremely helpful and made sure that we had everything that we needed before, during and after our trip.
This was the best vacation ever. First Rob DeRocker was just fantastic to deal with. He gave us tons of information on the island and on the villa, picked us up at the airport and gave us a tour on our way to the villa. The villa was exactly as pictured and had everything we needed to make our trip perfect... from the blender to the grill. The space is laid out perfectly to allow two couples... each having their own space. It was well maintained, quiet, and the pool WAS the best. At times we just stayed put and enjoyed the pool, the view, the company and some blender drinks.
We would, and have already referred this to various friends, and we are already making our plans for next year. The island is wonderful, lots to do, or not... from snorkeling on buck island, to art festivals, trips to various other places, like the cruzan rum and captan morgan rum factory's, to kayaking in the bays, to dining and enjoying the shops on the boardwalk. Its was a fantastic vacation in a fantastic place.
St Croix is a wonderful retreat from a northeast winter. Perfect set-up for two couples with 2 master ensuite bedrooms, private pool, and wonderful weather and views. Villa Madeline is located on the east end of the island and offers a breathtaking view of Buck Island as you descend the hill to start your day. The crew at the Villa were friendly and helpful. Upon arrival Rob met us at the airport, swung by Cane Beach and provided great tips on the events in Christiansted while we were there. Looking forward to a return trip next year. The weather is perfect in every way and the people on the island are extremely friendly and helpful. #1 vacation. Two weeks provided the perfect amount of time to explore, relax, and enjoy the rum!
"Review Title: Island Life
Review Text: Beautiful to the eye, comfortable accommodations-allowed (2) couples privacy as well as common space that was shared. I liked the fact that the location was not in downtown Christiansted-but just outside of the town itself. Exquisite views. Very well maintained and friendly maintenance staff. The private pool was indispensable!! We used it a lot. The broker was attentive to our need for a washer repair-we planned our two weeks based on the fact that there was was/dryer facilities! He was also very helpful upon arrival by meeting our plane, showing us around and noting recommended restaurants, beaches, attractions etc. so that we could get the "lay of the land." We took advantage of a catamaran snorkel tour to Buck Island on the Teroro II, a bioluminescent kayak tour at Salt River Bay, but the highlight was actually renting a boat of our own through Bryan's Marine-highly recommend! Most definitely would recommend Villa Madeleine...and are plotting our next "getaway" to this beautiful island as I write this!!."
This was my seventh trip to St Croix. This rental was by far the best yet! The pictures don't do it justice! Two large bedrooms with their own baths that have spacious showers! A beautifully decorated condo with all the amenities .The private pool was amazing. The villas are situated so that no one can see anyone else's pool area.Lounge chaires, gas grill, floats and a lighted pool for evening swimming or relaxing by th glow! The view was terrific! The complex is so quiet you'd think you were all alone on the side of the hills.Rob, who set this all up for us was a pleasure to meet.He was knowledgeable about every aspect of the Isalnd. I could go on and on but......THIS IS ONE RENTAL YOU SHOULD NOT PASS UP !!!
We spent 10 nights in this beautiful villa! The villa has everything you would need for a relaxing vacation, from comfortable beds and furniture to your own private pool. The patio was a great place to relax, with beautiful outdoor furniture and a grill. The location is peaceful and quiet. Rob was great to work with, he always responded promptly. We were met at the airport by his associate Hortensia who warmly welcomed us and led us to the villa. She was a delight to work with as well! I would highly recommend staying at this villa for your next St Croix vacation.
Villa Madeleine condos grace a hillside above the breathtaking south shore on St. Croix's exclusive east end. You're within minutes of Point Udall, the easternmost point under the American flag, and half a dozen pristine beaches astride a sea with just as many shades of blue.
The Divi Carina Bay resort, its restaurant, beach and casino are just down the hill from the condo (although best accessed by car, less than a 10-minute drive), and hiking trails leading to one remote beach after another are just as accessible.
Also within a quick drive are charter sails over to the famed Buck Island, it's blindingly white beach and coral reef, protecting America's only underwater national park.
Several restaurants and small markets are nearby, and a 15-minute drive brings you into Christiansted, St. Croix's largest town.
In general, St. Croix might best be described as a Warm Place to Chill, and that's especially true of the quiet east end. Years ago a slogan on New York City subway ads for the island perhaps summed it up best: So much to do -- but only if you want to.
