Perfect break in a lovely location
The property was clean and in very good condition. The contact with Peter was perfect - via email with directions and arrangements to meet his housekeeper to hand over the keys. WiFi was free and fast and the air-conditioning (used to heat rather than cool the rooms since it was December!) was very efficient and cheap.
All in all, a great Christmas break.
Malcolm was a great guest. Communication was very good and they treated the house as if it was their own. I will definitely welcome him back for another stay!!!
Nice property in the lovely town of Qala
Lovely stay with our family of 5. Farmhouse was well maintained and any issues we had were sorted out very quickly. Ample space in bedrooms. Pool is really a splash pool, so don't expect to swim lenghts! Qala is a lovely town, that felt clean and safe with a few restaurants, bars and supermarkets.
Some kitchen utensils in need of replacement. Air conditioning was reasonably priced and was certainly needed. Overall a lovely holiday.
Lovely townhouse very central and near all bars and restaurants in Qala.
Peter was excellent host. The property was excellent. The pool was fantastic to cool off in although not the largest. The property was well equipped and has good facilities. I have only small gripes which are it could do with some extra plates and cutlery but nothing could detract from the property. It has an excellent location near the centre and also near Hondoq beach.
Gozo is a great island if you want to chill out as there is not much to do in the island. You could probably see most of it in 2 days with a car.
There are four restaurants in Qala which all have identical menus and pricing and overall the food is good I like Kaputa the best for the charms of the female waitress whose serving manner was unique and funny.
The rabbit stew at Kaputa was one it the best dishes I have ever eaten along with the seafood pizza as half the ocean was on it fantastic.
Zeppi’s is good for drinks and live music the only downside are the English expats who seem to dislike tourists even though they were tourists and still are technically but you can just ignore them and they are English as well which explains a lot.
We had a great time the property was excellent the food was fine and the waitress at Kaputa a riot just wait till she serves you.
A wonderful three storey holiday home
It is wonderfully located close to the main Church place of Qala, which has nice bars and restaurants but yet it was nice and quiet for us. It was also super close to the diving school which was great, that took us straight to the close beach of Hondoq bay. There is also a little supermarket which has EVERYTHING. All reachable on foot.
The property has a very nice living area downstairs and then three bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs on the next two floors. The bedroom on the top has a fantastic roof terrace.
It was a wonderful and peaceful vantage point to discover Gozo. We will definitely be back.
Thank you so much, Peter!
Quiet, modern farmhouse
The farmhouse has been nicely updated. It was well kept and very clean. The air conditioning was more than affordable. We stayed for 1 week and used less than 10 euro. Make sure to bring change for the machine. The closest bus stop was less than 5 minutes away and there are two small grocers within same walking distance. Overall very happy with our stay at the farmhouse.
A perfectly located home from home close to Qala's amenities
Myself and 3 others stayed in Farmhouse G for 2 weeks from 15th to 29th September 2016
The Villagg St Guzepp was perfectly located for the scattering of bars, restaurants and shops in Qala and only a 5 minute car drive from Mgarr ferry harbour.
The accommodation itself was clean, tidy and we'll equipped for all our needs. The kitchen especially had everything you needed to cook and we even entertained my family whilst there.
The air conditioning was much needed on occasions but extremely cheap. We spent about €2 a day to cool 2 bedrooms. This was easily used by just topping up a coin meter in the utility room with €1 or €2 euro coins.
The Villagg area itself was quiet and about a 25 minute walk away from the beautiful Hondoq beach. We decided not to hire a car as we spent a lot of time at the beach, but when we did venture out, the island is serviced by very cheap bus services. €2 will get you 2 hours of travel on any route but be sure to hold on to your ticket.
Hondoq is a good walk away but by the second week we had the steep walk back up the hill off to a tee. It also helped burn off the extra calories that we enjoyed in food and wine!
I would most definitely stay here again and hope to again next year.
Thanks for making it a very comfortable stay. 😊
