4 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom With Ocean Views, Close To The Beach
Escape to this delightful summer haven just a short walk from Philbin Beach, Martha’s Vineyard's most beautiful. The spectacular Aquinnah/Gay Head cliffs are a mere half mile up the road. The spacious house is beautifully situated among Beetlebung trees with magnificent 180 degree views of the Atlantic Ocean. A wonderful natural pond sits directly behind the house replete with lily pads, frogs and turtles. The three acres of plush foliage and lawn affords privacy and serenity.
The house is ideally situated at the end of a private road, providing you wonderful quiet and tranquility.
This two story, glass-fronted A-frame has cathedral ceilings and a large open floor plan, including a well-equipped kitchen and breakfast counter. This comfortable vacation home features exceptional amenities including a screened dining porch, upstairs master bedroom screened porch (perfect for reading or napping), a back deck overlooking the pond and front deck with furniture for entertaining and sunbathing. Other amenities include a private H/C outdoor shower, washer/dryer, dishwasher, new gas stove, high speed Internet, filtered well water, cable TV, barbecue, microwave, coffee machine, toaster and toaster oven.
On the first floor there are three bedrooms, one with a queen bed, one with a twin bed and a third with bunk bed and trundle. There is a bathroom with a shower. Upstairs, there is a spacious master bedroom with a queen bed, private porch and large master bath. Quality beds and linens abound.
The greatest advantage of renting a house in Aquinnah is the beaches; breathtaking Philbin, a private (resident/renters only) 3 mile stretch of undeveloped sandy heaven, perfect for body surfing, boogie boarding and surfing; Menemsha Pond Beach, ideal for young children and kayaking or canoeing; West Basin on the Vineyard Sound, great for swimming, fishing and long walks or hikes along the miles of unspoiled beaches.
Martha’s Vineyard is the perfect vacation getaway with bike trails, hiking and riding trails, boating, fishing, golf courses, farmer’s markets, movie theaters, top restaurants, and shopping. Great bus transportation back and forth from Aquinnah to all the towns (perfect for teens!). This house is only rented a couple of weeks each summer, when the family can’t get to the island.

If you are wondering why we don't have reviews, it's because we do not rent out the property frequently. I share the house with my three siblings and we use most of the summer weeks for ourselves! And we have other renters who have been renting from us, year after year, for decades (before there was HomeAway)! That's how much we all love it!

Perfect Vineyard beach house
Don't hesitate to book this property if you are looking for a pristine, well appointed retreat away from the busy towns on the island. Our group of 8, including two small children, really enjoyed the house and had plenty of room to spread out. The front porch and lawn were a hit for lawn games and the kitchen had more than what we needed for the requisite lobster boils. The beach is within walking distance and had areas well suited for surfing, fishing, wading and relaxing. In short, an immaculate Aquinnah getaway.
