Adorable classic Maine cottage sleeps four. A brand new adjacent bungalow accommodates an additional three people for an extra charge of $350.00(a great place for the kids to sleep and hang out!).
The cottage has a newly renovated kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen features all-new appliances with modern amenities. There is no kitchen table, however. We have a fully outfitted bathroom with new fixtures. Upstairs, there is a double bedroom and a single bedroom. You walk through the double room in order to get to the single room. There is one single downstairs. The living room has comfy furniture with a lovely gas fireplace for those rare chilly summer mornings. Wi-fi is included.
The screened-in porch, which overlooks the Gulf of Maine, features a family-sized table for dining on soft summer evenings. Attached is a small deck with a grill for you to enjoy. Two kayaks are available too. During the day, luxuriate on the warm rocks a few steps away or take the short path down to Pleasant Beach for swimming, snorkeling, crab-hunting, fishing, and sun-worshipping.
The cottage boasts a stunning view of the bay. Watch lobstermen ply their trade as children climb the rocks along this secluded coastline. No crowds here.
Nearby seafood shacks and restaurants in the area are well known, or if you're nice to the local fisherman, you might have fresh lobster brought directly to your front door.
Located 10 minutes from Rockland, 10 minutes from Owls Head, 25 minutes from Camden Hills State Park and near many mid-coast attractions.
We also welcome a well-behaved dog for a small fee, but this is a cat-free, no-smoking property.
I am happy to answer any questions about our wonderful Maine cottage.
There is also a fun new sleeping bungalow that has 3 beds and a small front porch. It is a great place fro the kids to hang out too. There is no bathroom. It is available for rent for an extra $350.00 weekly.
Peaceful, quiet location but still near some quaint little towns. Loved having breakfast every morning on the porch overlooking the water. Cozy and accommodating. Laura was available for any questions that we had.
This is a great cottage and classic Maine experience. Great place to get away from it all but close to Thomaston and Rockland.
The cottage has all the necessities and updates while keeping things simple.
Laura was very responsive and easy to work with and checked it to make sure everything was good during our stay.
Tree House by the water was a great bonus for little kids.
Arrival put us into a hideaway location enhanced by fairy gardens. The view from the porch was SPECTACULAR. Our grandchildren loved visiting from their cottage below on Pleasant Beach because they could seclude themselves in the second little bungalow. The latter was outfitted with all the necessities in that it had a coffee maker so we could rise & enjoy that first morning cup while sitting on the little porch. Very cozy. The kitchen in the primary cottage is complete & contains a lot of storage space. An original Maine camp.
We spent the week of the July 4th holiday at the Nautilus cottage and we had a wonderful visit! The weather was gorgeous and the accommodations were perfect! My grandchildren spent most of their days kayaking and exploring the nearby islands and the evenings were spent either on the screened porch or enjoying a campfire on the rocks. The little ones loved the tidal pools and the sea treasures that they found and even the dog had fun exploring. Rockland and Camden are just a short drive away if you want to shop or go out to eat, but why bother? All that you need for a perfect vacation is right in front of you, the beautiful sunrises, the wildlife, the ocean view! Paradise! Thanks to Laura and her family for being so nice and accommodating to our family.
The cottage was perfect for 2-3 people. Everything we needed was there. The one thing we wish was there was a microwave but we made do. The cottage allowed us enough room. Kitchen was spacious and equipped. the screened in porches perfect during the afternoon during the warmest part of the day. I couldn't of asked for a better view of the water. It was very relaxing for me and my mother. I've been to pleasant beach before and if your looking for a place to relax and connect with nature this is it. Thanks to Laura for the welcome bottle of wine. It was a nice touch to start our weekend retreat. We will be back in the future.
The entire family loved staying at the yellow cottage and the bungalow! It is truly a magical setting, with a wonderful view of the ocean, the islands, and the boats passing by. The cottage is decorated with love, and the fairy gardens and paths are charming and whimsical. The kitchen is very convenient and fully equipped. We enjoyed all our meals on the screened porch overlooking the bay. The children explored the rocks and the tide pools for hours every day looking for crabs, sea stars, and sea urchins, and chatting with fishermen and lobstermen. At low tide, we enjoyed sea kayaking around the islands and explored the area. We would go to a different island or sandbar every day, looking for treasures, swimming, or just taking in the stunning views. If you love bird watching, you will be amazed at how many beautiful birds you will encounter here, including a bald eagle. It's a quiet place away from the crowds, a very friendly neighborhood, full of natural beauty. We were sad to leave!

The new bungalow has bunk beds and a trundle bed too. It is available at the extra charge of 350.00 per week. It is a great place for the kids to sleep and hang out! Be advised that here is no bathroom in it.
Visitors must appreciate the need to take short showers and spare the running water in the cottage! Otherwise, please do not choose to stay here.
