That said... if you want to walk to the Zoo, museums, dozens of local restaurants and bars, we have the place for you. San Diego's downtown historic Gas Lamp district and Coronado beaches are just a 15 minute drive away. For sports enthusiasts will find golf, disc golf, tennis, swimming, hiking and running trails all within walking distance.
Built in 1911, our 105 year old stable has been converted to a comfortable 1 bedroom cottage complete with all the amenities of home.
Here are just a few:
Full kitchen with all the utensils needed to prepare a gourmet meal. Heated tile floors in the bathroom and a whirlpool tub, hair dryer, quality shampoo and body wash, plenty of towels. Queen-size bed with memory foam mattress top (you will this see mentioned in our guest reviews.) Walk-in closet (almost bedroom size) with a laundry room with front load washer and dryer. Broadband internet access with WIFI and a printer/scanner. HD Cable TV, Blu-ray player, Netflix, Pandora web browser & more. Private fenced patio with stainless steel 3-burner BBQ.

Location, location, location! Centrally located North Park offers easy access to the most popular attractions San Diego has to offer. Great year-round weather and no bugs are a plus too! (We're both originally from southern states) Since moving to San Diego in 1983 we have resided in Point Loma, Ocean Beach, Pacific Beach and Downtown San Diego but North Park is by far our favorite place to live.
Our home is on a quiet, 1-block long section of Spruce. North Park is a centrally located San Diego neighborhood and an easy drive to Sea World, Coronado, Petco Park, Qualcomm Stadium, the downtown bayfront and dozens of other attractions.
What a great experience we had! We came down from Portland to see the Chargers game and stayed at this lovely little cottage which was perfect for the two of us! Great location close to almost everything in San Diego with fabulous restaurants and bars close by!
The cottage was perfect in every way with every convenience we could have asked for! The tea and coffee were a surprisingly great touch ! We will definitely stay here again!!!
Cottage was exactly as decribed, no surprises. Clean and in working order. Nice towels, linens and soaps. Clean newer bathroom and comfy bed. 2 A/C units cooled the place right down. The location is perfectly ideal, making its easy to run back and forth, with always a place to park upon return. Safe location, nice neighborhood. Dog friendly. Hosts were pleasant and helpful and made us feel welcome. It was a pleasure.

Words & pictures cannot begin to describe this picture perfect cottage! Immaculate and so tastefully decorated right down to the smallest details. The location is perfect, just a short drive to anything yet tucked away in a small corner of a delightful neighborhood. Great pizza place around the corner. The bubbling sounds of the outside water fountain were so relaxing, we felt as if we were in our own private oasis. Mike & Sharon were available if needed. We look forward to returning as a stop on our way to Maui.

The service fee is paid by the traveler when booking through the HomeAway websites. This fee covers the cost of providing 24/7 customer support, enhanced site and mobile features for both owner and travelers, plus expanded marketing efforts to generate more exposure to global audiences. Additionally, when a traveler books and pays through HomeAway, they are eligible for the Book with Confidence Guarantee.
Paying the fee
Travelers pay the service fee by credit card when paying through the secure HomeAway checkout process. The service fee is only charged to the card once the booking has been accepted by the property owner or manager. The service fee is, on average, approximately 6% of the rental amount, excluding refundable deposit or taxes. This fee is lower than other travel websites that charge a similar fee.
Refunding the fee
The owner does not have the ability to discount or waive the service fee amount. The only time the service fee can be refunded is when an owner uses the Cancellation Refund feature from their dashboard and the cancellation is requested within the terms of the owner/manager's cancellation policy. However, if the reservation is not canceled and all payments fully refunded to the traveler, the service fee will not be refunded.
