Sevierville Chalet Rental Photos and Description

Pigeon River Hideaway is located on the Little Pigeon River between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Gorgeous views of the river from the deck, screened in porch with porch swing and both upstairs bedrooms. The best rapids on the entire river are directly in front of the rustic chalet. On the upper level is two bedrooms and bathroom, which includes a 2 person Jacuzzi. The main level includes a great room with satellite HD TV, DVD/VCR, sofa, dining room and fireplace. Also on the main level is a fully equipped kitchen and additional bathroom. On the lower level is another bedroom with its own private deck to the river and an additional shower.

Secluded from the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas but close enough for easy access. Relax on the deck and watch the river go by or read a book on the porch swing.

Rates are $130/night for 2 people. Rates are slightly higher for short stays. Children are free. Additional couples are $25/night. Weekly rate is $725 for 2 people. For a vacation to get away from it all but enjoy all the activities that Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and the Great Smoky Mountains have to offer,

Great place for unwinding and unplugging!

  • 4 of 5

This property is fifteen to twenty minutes from the local attractions but out of the main traffic pattern. The view and sounds of the river are best enjoyed from the screened in deck. There are not many bugs that bite here so any deck can work for you. The living space is big enough for a party and the kitchen is big as well, (no dishwasher). The big draw back is the bathroom arrangements. Upstairs bedrooms with a jack & jill bath but no shower, (jetted tub). Shower is down stairs off the entry way in the laundry room, (full size). Lower level bedroom has an adjacent shower but no toilet. The TV channel selection is minimal for you sports fans. If you have Verizon you will have internet service here. I used the tablet to setup a wifi hotspot. If you are a Hampton Inn or Marriott person this probably won't work for you. The Motel 6 crowd will love this!

good place but musty smell

  • 4 of 5

It was a great place to stay right along the river not too far from the park or the commercial tourist attractions yet it had that secluded feel. It was well kept and we enjoyed it. However, there was a musty smell that was more than it should be for just having the place closed up. Probably needs checked professionally for mold to be safe for sensitive travelers.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your feedback. We have turned up the dehumidifier in the basement and added several damp rid packets to remove the smell. We will continue to monitor every cleaning to make sure we have taken care of the smell.

Wonderful!!

  • 5 of 5

The property was exactly as pictured. Although the river is indescribable. Absolutely breathtaking. The property was clean, I wasn't afraid to use the pots, pans, dishes, etc. My family and I loved it. It is also close to the bypass ways so you can miss the in town traffic if you would like. We hope to return some day! Dealing with the owners was easy. I sent an email and the return response was quick and friendly. We really felt at home. Would recommend this property to my friends and relatives. However, I don't really want to share this hidden gem :-)

Charming

A Lovely Charming Cabin. The River is Stunning! Close to both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg but far enough away from traffic and hustle and bustle. The only thing you hear is the river.

Beautiful Location, Serene Surroundings

  • 5 of 5

The house is located on a beautiful piece of property. Located on the beautiful Pigeon River, the views from every room are amazing. The screened in porch with a swing will beckon you to stay awhile. The furnishings in the home are comfortable and cozy. We loved the convenience of the kitchen so we could prepare our own meals and enjoy our surroundings. The area around Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg has a lot to offer. There are a lot of outdoor activities in the Great Smoky National Park to experience with breathtaking views. For those that love the city scene there are different shows, shopping, sweets, and much more. We loved our time spent there. We did have very limited cell service at the cabin, but it could have been our carrier (AT&T). It's a great place to get away from it all. It does take about 20 min. to get to Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg, but it's well worth it. We hope to be able to return soon.
