Another wonderful weekend at this lovely property! Thank you Jany, for the delicious tomatoes and peaches... they were thoroughly enjoyed. I would highly recommend staying here!
It’s always rewarding to welcome back repeat guests and to hear that they had a wonderful stay. For the lucky ones you may get to take away some produce from my sister’s garden and orchard !!!
If you looking for someplace away from it all... this is about as far away as you can get!
We rented this house so we'd have an escape while at Atchison, Ks for a funeral. Worked out great for us. Docked a star only because of the long, rough gravel driveway. Clean, great views, peaceful surroundings.
Peace and quiet are scarce commodities in this hectic life and having a modern, comfortable house in the countryside is just the remedy for a relaxing holiday. We’ve had some heavy rain storms lately that made the driveway a bit rough so my next job is to grade the road and make is smooth again.
Wonderful stay near Atchison and St. Joe
My spouse and I and another couple spent Labor Day weekend at this comfortable retreat. Every detail was provided by the family who owns the home. Views were fantastic....beautiful sunrises, sunsets, clouds, stars, rolling hills, gorgeous trees. This is on a farm property with free-range cattle that are sometimes right outside the fence, and the family's very friendly dogs also came to visit. Train whistles can be heard in the distance, which we enjoyed.
The residence features three bedrooms (one king, one queen, one with two twin beds) that were spacious and comfortable. There are two bathrooms, one with a shower and the other (off the master bedroom) with a large sunken tub and a separate shower. Water pressure was good.
The kitchen is well stocked with every convenience we needed. There is a living room with TV, couch, and rocking chairs, and a separate dining room. The owner provided information about things to do and places to eat both in St. Joseph and in Atchison, KS.
We were pleased with our weekend in Rushville!
If I was to try to sum up all of the reasons why we feel that our rental property is unique and the special value that it offers a guest this review pretty much does the job so we must be doing something right. It was great having this guest and their friends stay in our house.
Wonderful experience with amazing hosts. A true hidden Gem!
We stayed here for a little over a month, while we waited to get into our own house in the area and it was truly amazing. The host Jany was incredible and the property is absolutely stunning. It’s a beautiful country ranch that is away from the city but still close to everything you could need. It’s so peaceful, there is a beautiful covered patio that is great to watch the sunset, watch the storms while staying dry, or just to enjoy the fireflies once the sun goes down. The house comes with anything you could possibly need. We have a baby and a toddler and they even had children size eating utensils which was amazing. If you can get this place during your stay I would highly recommend. We have stayed in a lot of VRBO’s and Airbnb’s over the years and the host(s) to this place was far superior to any other place we have stayed. This place will not disappoint!
It felt great to offer our house to this wonderful young military family who were waiting to move into their new home in a neighbouring town. Their two-year old daughter really enjoyed being able to play outside with minimal oversight so it worked out really well for us and for them and this is what we continually strive for.
House was clean and comfortable. This is a great out in the country experience. We loved it.
Positive reviews like this that are short & sweet are great affirmations of our quest to provide a memorable experience that represents great value for all of our guests.
We just spent(5) nights here while attending the graduation of our two daughters from Benedictine College School of Nursing. Our stay at this home was so wonderful! Jany was a most gracious host and made sure we had everything we needed. The AC was not working well when we arrived, and Jany had someone out first thing the next day to have it repaired. We were most grateful as it was a hot and humid weekend. The house itself was very clean and perfectly appointed. What stands out most, however, are the amazing views and tranquility of the setting. We enjoyed relaxing on the front porch, and taking in the most glorious sunrises and sunsets all week. Jany, thank you for making our time here in Kansas most memorable... we will be back!
