1020 Carolina Blvd has four levels of luxury living! The first level has a small pool and one car garage. The second level has three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The third level has an open kitchen, seating area, dining area and full bath. The fourth level has another sitting area, full bath and walk out roof deck complete with Adirondack chairs for lounging and a partial ocean view. This home is truly appointed for a home away from home experience. Outside on the ground level there is a quaint pool and gas grill. Meticulous attention to detail has been spent to create a beach home you will remember and want to come back to again and again. With four bedrooms, four full baths this home will accommodate up to nine guests comfortably. (2,500 Square Feet)BOTTOM LEVEL: Features a small walk out pool and gas grill area.

SECOND FLOOR: The second floor features three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and a piggy back full size washer/dryer closet. The first guest room features a queen size bed and private bath. The second guest room features a full size bed with a bunk and trundle and the third guest room features a queen size bed. The second and third guest rooms share a full size hall bath.

THIRD FLOOR: The third floor features an open floor plan with a seating area, updated kitchen and dining area. The kitchen has granite countertops and stainless steel appliances and a wine fridge. This floor also features another full bathroom

FOURTH FLOOR: The fourth floor features full bath, seating area that opens onto the rooftop deck with a partial view of the ocean and several Adirondack chairs. The guest room on this level boasts a king size bed.

Each home includes free parking, initial supply of linens and towels, washer and dryer, color cable TV, air conditioning, starter supply of paper products and detergents, fully equipped kitchen with dinnerware, flatware, pots and pans, plus local telephone service. Wireless internet services are not guaranteed to work with your equipment. We cannot provide support for guest's personal computer systems. Perfect for our group

I cannot speak to the experience of the 1-star review and don't want to discount their experience. But, we had a very different one. I read the review on the way down and grew very concerned because it was not there when we booked it. However, we were more than pleased.

Yes, the house is not pristine. It looks like a rental house that has been used. But for us, it was very clean. In fact, there was some pleasant surprises as far as rentals go. There were toiletries like you'd find at a hotel. Towels were neatly hung instead of in a closet to search for. And, the kitchen was fully stocked with kitchen supplies. I brought my own coffee grinder, but they already had one there as well as a digital coffee pot AND a keurig. Pots and pans were clean and actually decent quality. The grill downstairs was clean and everything was easy to find and worked for us.

The pool isn't huge. But it's not uber tiny. We fit 9 people in it comfortably to just sit and wade around. Is it smaller than you'd hope for? Probably. But if you want a refreshing night dip or a place to hang after the ocean, it was perfect. There is also an outdoor shower (if everyone uses it before getting in the pool, there won't be sand).

I slept in one bed and took a nap in another. I can say the double on the bunk bed and the queen in the next room over were super comfortable. The queen was like napping on a cloud. I forgot to get the details of that set up before I left but if I could sleep on that every night, I'd be in heaven.

The house also has four full bathrooms, two of them with walk in showers, the others with tubs. It made getting ready in the evening a snap for our group.

The house is also very close to the beach. The latch on the back gate is a bit tricky to close. But it opens into a parking lot (fantastic breakfast place. Cash only) and then you have a 3 minute walk to sand, less to the Wind Jammer.

The couches could definitely use updating as they were way past "well used."

Everyone in the house agreed, if we come back and can get the same per person price, this is the first house we are looking at.

House is not as stated-do not stay here!

There were 8 of us traveling, 6 adults and 2 children.

First let me state that this property is not new construction. It is worn, with visible stains on the carpets, marks on walls etc. While that alone would not cause me to not stay again, see below the issues we encountered:

1. Strong Fish smell in kitchen caused by garbage disposal. Also one bathroom had to be cleaned by us. This unit was not cleaned well. I noticed as stated below old stained carpets and areas that were not vacuumed well.

2. Bed on 4th floor had broken slats, after numerous calls finally fixed after the bed collapsed on 3rd day, making it unusable. . Also the pull out couch on 4th floor could not be slept on, good thing we brought an air mattress.

3. Couches in living room were broken down, need to be replaced.

4. Kitchen: pots and pans need replacing, many in bad shape very few usable.

5. Toilet running on 4th floor. We were told that we were the second person to call on this.

6. We were told could use garage, but it was locked by owner.

7. Pool is TINY! We thought at first it was a hot tub, also had sand in the bottom that stayed through our whole visit, not cleaned as stated.

8. Kitchen should have a pantry, there is no storage for any food or items you would need.

What was most aggravating was numerous calls had to be made to the rental agency to get these items fixed. My opinion is this is a nice house, but it has not been maintained as it should. As stated above the furniture is old and in some cases dilapidated. We have stayed in other rentals and never had issues like this. If you are looking for a nice rental I would not stay here.

On a positive note it is close to the beach, and there were separate AC units for each floor which allowed us to maintain temps very well.
