This is a waterfront home with a bright and open floor plan, large deck overlooking the water, and a private boat dock located in a very quiet neighborhood on Brightman’s Pond in Weekapaug. Enjoy swimming, kayaking, canoeing, sailing, or fishing in the pond from a private boat dock located in front of the property; dig clams in the nearby flats, launch your boat (20’ maximum) from a nearby public landing area for docking at the house or for direct access to Block Island sound through the Weekapaug breachway; or simply enjoy the spectacular views and sunset from the deck.
Enter the house through a combined kitchen/dining room area that has been just remodeled with new cabinets and appliances. Once through the kitchen you enter an expansive living room with hardwood floors – the “great room” – and wall-to-wall windows that open onto a deck and magnificent views of the Pond. The “great room” has a small reading area, a breakfast area, and viewing area for a large wall-mounted TV that sits over a stone fireplace. Sliding doors provide direct access to a large deck that extends across the entire back of the house. Cook your meals outside in a grilling area and serve them on the deck while enjoying spectacular views of the water and sunset. The open kitchen, dining area, living room and deck areas are perfect for entertaining.
Upstairs there are 4 bedrooms – one with two (2) single beds, a second with a queen size bed, a third with a double bed, and the fourth with a single bed. Two of the bedrooms have water views. There is a full bath upstairs, a toilet and washer/dryer on the lower level, and a private outside shower with hot water.
The house is located just minutes away from the Weekapaug, Misquamicut, and Watch Hill beaches, and is within a short drive of downtown Westerly, Watch Hill village, Stonington, the Mystic Seaport and Aquarium, and Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun Casinos. Fantastic dining and shopping exists throughout the area. There are also multiple golf courses in the area (including the Winnapaug golf course that is within walking distance), as well as numerous public tennis courts. Enjoy easy access to I-95 and TF Green Airport, Amtrak trains, the Westerly Airport (flights to Block Island), as well as ferries to Block Island, Long Island, Martha’s Vineyard, and Nantucket.
