Beautiful and peaceful retreat!

  • 4 of 5

We loved the chance to spend a quiet weekend out in the country. The location is quiet, peaceful, and serene. The farmhouse makes you feel as if you have stepped back in time. A wonderful place to get away from the hurriedness of life and relax.

Great weekend stay

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay at Nancy's farmhouse. We were in town for an event and wanted to book a home close to the venue (Rough Creek Lodge) where we could relax in the comfort of a home at night. The farmhouse was perfect! Thank you Nancy for your hospitality!

Wonderful Place!!

  • 5 of 5

This farmhouse is fantastic! It is like going back in time. The furnishings and décor are beautiful enough to be featured in a magazine. Even though it is picture perfect, it is very cozy. The beds are comfortable. The main room allows for relaxed seating for at least six. And the kitchen and dining area are spacious enough to accommodate a home cooked meal for family plus friends. I would recommend this home to anyone that wants to experience a Texas ranch way of life. The owners are extremely nice and gracious. Anyone that wants to get away from it all... this is the place for you!!

Peaceful weekend on Chalk Mountain

  • 5 of 5

Great farmhouse with beautiful views of the Chalk Mountain area! Very comfortable beds, cute farm kitchen, nice comfy living room furniture with great tv/channels/wifi. We enjoyed fishing in the tank and star gazing at night. Great location...we went to Dinosaur Valley Park and had brunch at the Big Cup Eatery in Glen Rose. Hope to be back in the area again and will for sure rent the Stillwell's farmhouse in the future.

A beautiful slice of beauty and tranquility--- You won't want to leave!

  • 5 of 5

From the moment we arrived at the ranch..............we were smiling. The house is sooooo comfortable,

so well appointed, and makes you feel sooooo "at home", right away. BEST SLEEP, ever.............not

only because of the quiet.............but, the mattresses on the beds was amazingly comfortable!

Every night.........we were stargazing.....This home has everything you will need, whether you stay

a week end..................or for several weeks!!! The kitchen is well stocked, with dishes, pots and

pans, and everything else you'll need! Nice and large, too.................6 can sit at the table, and

4 more can sit at the breakfast bar. It's a beautiful, large farm kitchen. Laundry room is on

the other side..................and so convenient for doing the laundry, too. Great t.v., with soooo

many channels available, and the wi/fi had a very strong signal. We NEVER had any down time.

The property is soooooo beautiful. We went for walks almost every day..................saw deer,

rabbits, and beautiful birds. The drive to downtown Glen Rose is around 19 minutes, and

very scenic. We found a short cut to Loco Coyote, which is a great restaurant.......open THURS

evening, Friday evening, and Saturday for lunch and dinner...........also on Sunday from 11-3 p.m.

Fossil Rim is only about a 13 minute drive.............and only about a 13 minute drive to Dinosaur World.

GREAT LOCATION...................but, so private at the ranch. You will soooo enjoy your stay. If

you need a great getaway............where you can truly curl up with a book, or write a novel............or

watch stars..............and not hear a sound----this is the place for you. You'll smile the entire time.

Nancy and Allen are the owners.................and will help you in any way they can. Savor every moment you're here at the Stillwell Ranch. It's AMAZING!!
