This house is on a beautiful lake near a town with all our basics we need. This spot on the lake faces south which allows you beautiful mornings and sunsets, while being able to see the entire length of the lake. The shore is sandy beach with the lake bottom being all sand as well. Being 2.5 feet deep for a ways out allows for a great family safe play zone until it gets deeper. What a fantastic place to be on Mullett Lake.
Beautiful fresh water lakes and trees are what you'll find in our community. On Mullett Lake you can kayak, canoe, water ski, wake board, go tubing or float on a raft. Places on the lake are the "Hack-Ma-Tack" restaurant (2mi), Mullett Lake Marina (2mi), Breakers Bar & Grill (8mi) or the Aloha State Park (4mi) are all easy to find. On the rivers connecting the other lakes you'll find other marinas, restaurants and bar & grills, should you find the desire.
We had a WONDERFUL vacation at this Mullett Lake House! It's a beautiful home with an amazing beach and shallow water for little ones to play in all day! The paddle boat, kayaks and canoe were an added bonus which we put to use daily!!! Also loved the close proximity of Walmart and Family Fair for all of our shopping needs...only about 10 minute drive! Betsy & Mark were there to greet us, show us around and answer any questions. They made us feel very welcome, were available by both phone and text throughout the duration of our stay, and always responded quickly! This house had a wide range of amenities and there was nothing more we could have asked for!
My sister and I rented this house together so our families could enjoy some fun in the sun and reconnect with family members. This house was the perfect place for all ages.
We had ages one through sixty visiting or staying at the home on and off throughout the week .My grandsons and my sister’s granddaughter enjoyed the beach and easy access to the water. The twenty to thirty something’s enjoyed the boating kayaking and other water sports. All of us enjoyed the views from the house and its comfortable open concept.
The home owners’ met us at check in and went through the ins and outs of the house. They gave us a gift basket and informed us what was going on in the area. They made sure our stay was comfortable, providing everything we could possibly need to have a great stay. Needless to say we loved our time at Mullett Lake and hope to stay again!
The house is amazing! It is right on the lake. It also has everything you need. The lake is shallow in front of the house, so if you have kids they will have a blast.
Mark and Betsy are great to work with. Always responsive and make you feel very welcomed on their home.
We will be back for sure!
Yes folks just got back from paradise on Mullett Lake, This is a lovely comfortable home with many amenities. The master suite is great including a bath with a shower, the bedroom area has a slider door to the sound of the waves crashing onto the shore, it put me to sleep nightly.
The queen suite also has a slider to the deck and lake and also a little fold out bed that was super comfy for my 3year granddaughter.
Lastly, there is 2 sets of bunk beds in the 3rd bedroom and flatscreens all around.
The living room kitchen/dining room is all one huge room with a very long table to all sit around.
We loved the deck facing the water it has a nice awning to shade you from the sun. The firepit is super close as is the water. It is a beautiful lake and it seems that you can walk out forever and the water is still waist deep.
The dock goes out very far into the water and there are kayaks and a paddle boat/canoe for your non motoring pleasure.
For people with small kids this is the lake to be on because the beach is sandy and shallow.
The owner is a very nice lady and responded to every email/phone call.
I would go again!
What a wonderful place this is for our family vacation! It was the perfect setup for our family. There were 10 of us, ranging from 3 years to 79 years old. The beach was perfect - the water was shallow which was perfect for the little ones, as well as for playing football, Frisbee, etc. The house was clean, and very roomy. We ate every meal on the beautiful deck looking out on the lake. It was only a few minutes away from restaurants, grocery stores and Wal-Mart. The owners met us upon our arrival and were great!
The location was amazing. Beautiful sandy beach and sandy bottom for the kids to enjoy. The patio on the dock was great as everyone could enjoy relaxing out by the water. The use of the kayaks and Conoe were a plus as we used them a lot. The kids loved the paddle boat. The house was large and comfortable, we spent most of the time out on the deck or dock patio though.
Cheboygan County has more waterfront property than any other county in the state, with 3 large inland lakes and flanked down the eastern side by Lake Huron. We are a mixture of lakes, rivers, streams, wooded and open land. Mullett Lake is roughly 4 miles wide by 10 miles long. At this property the first couple of hundred feet out into the lake are rock free sand bottom about 2.5 feet deep for a great safe sun and play zone for all ages. You can boat upstream from this property on Mullett Lake using the Indian River to Burt Lake then the Crooked River to Crooked Lake or downstream using the Cheboygan River to Lake Huron, Mackinaw Straits Bridge or Mackinac Island. Within 5 miles from this property is the town of Cheboygan with all the shops and stores you should need, marinas, restaurants, Walmart, K-Mart, 5 cinema theater including McLaren Hospital. Just over a 30 min drive to surrounding towns of Mackinaw City, Petoskey, Harbor Springs and others.
