The house was very nice and walking distance to the beach. We had a great time! The owners are very accesible and easy to talk too.
I recommend dinner at Sharkys.
We had an amazing week at the property. The rooms and property met the descriptions provided by the host very well. The rooms were spacious and beds were VERY comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. The view from the main room and master bed room were EXCEPTIONABLE! We loved being so close to the beach for long walks, shelling, and just enjoying the sound of the waves crashing on the beach. We would consider going back and staying again if we make another trip to Mexico. We were a little disappointed in the fact the internet and satellite TV were in the amenities, but were nonexistent. There was a nice TV and DVD player, but don't count on the being connected to the internet. This wasn't all bad, we had a Stars Wars marathon each evening. Internet would have been nice to do some research of the area, which I STRONGLY suggest you do before you get there. There is so much potential in the area, but unless you speak some Spanish it could be a struggle. Go to La Bufadora, highlight of the trip!! Great shopping, you can play with lion and tiger cubs, and the water exploding through the rocks is amazing. It is worth a day! No one can predict the weather, but even with the frequent storms we had some sunshine and beach time. The host communicated fairly well. Directions were accurate, but seemed a little vague....we trusted them and they took us right to the door. The little detour was our own fault ;-) This house is great and I would recommend it. Just be sure you ask lots of questions and you communicate any expectations you might have. The outside furniture and patio area was GREAT, but the grill was rusty and will probably will be replaced. There is a nice area on the roof to sit and enjoy sunsets, which we would have taken advantage of it the storms would have allowed. If it is rainy watch for a leaks, the owners seemed to be unaware of them, so now that they know I am certain they will be sealed. They seem to care for the property very well. I would suggest asking them to air out the downstairs if you are the first staying after a long absence of guests, it was a little musty. We also experienced the cleaning lady being there when we arrived, she was very sweet and we just left to go shopping while she finished.
The house was very nice and has a great view but my experience was not a good one. On arrival around 12:45 pm the cleaning lady was still cleaning the house which was not a big deal but with us unpacking it made it harder for her to finish so she just rushed to clean what she could. So we ended up cleaning the rest of the house and the backyard which was trashed by the previous guest. Once settled we find out there’s black ants all over the house and on the beds as well. Also the listing said the place has Wi-Fi which that was false we had to ask the neighbors for Wi-Fi to contact owner. The second day got even worse the trash was over flowing due to trash fees not paid by owner as the guys that pick up the trash stated. The third day we ran out of water also due to the fees not getting paid. The cleaning lady helped us by sending a guy to refill the water tank. We almost ran out of gas as well. It was a very disappointed experience but the weather and view made it pleasant 3 days. The owner should join the association or manage the place better this house has lots of potential.
La Bufadora- a sight seeing Breakwater tourist site.
