Views of famed Point Lobos and the Pacific Ocean offer peace and serenity from the this impeccable 3-bedroom, 2-bath home in Carmel-by-the Sea, just a short stroll away from dining, shopping, and entertainment.

Some of the highlights of this beautifully decorated 2,309-square-foot residence include hand-hewn beams made of elm, reclaimed from a 100-year-old Pennsylvania barn, and a massive myrtle wood mantle that adorns the living room’s Carmel stone fireplace, made by an Oregon craftsman.

Cherry wood floors and original artwork can be found throughout the home, as well as unique designer elements such as hand-glazed plaster walls, etched windows, antique wooden shutters, custom built-in cabinetry, and an integrated entertainment system.

Upon your arrival, you will be greeted with complimentary wine and cheese, passes to the renowned Spa on the Plaza in downtown Monterey, tickets for a wine tasting at Scheid Vineyards’ tasting room in downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea and a basket of local information. An assigned concierge vacation house manager is available to assist you during your stay. We have also provided spa amenities in the bathrooms, spa robes and beach gear.

A perfect blend of indoor and outdoor living marks this home, with a large dining room opening onto an expansive garden featuring a Carmel stone patio and fire pit, ideal for gathering together friends and family for food and conversation. Coastal live oaks surround the home, preserving its unique sense of privacy while also letting in plenty of sunshine.

Chef-quality appliances in the kitchen include a Viking six-burner range, a Sub-Zero refrigerator, Dacor double oven and a Keurig coffee maker. The kitchen also features custom cabinetry, granite counter tops and a designer tile back splash and contains all the cookware necessary to create a gourmet meal. A breakfast nook just off the kitchen is the perfect place to drink a cup of morning coffee and watch the news.

The master bedroom suite on the second floor offers French doors that lead to a private deck with expansive ocean views, a perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine in the afternoon or evening and a king bed. The master bedroom is set off by wood beamed ceilings and a walk-in closet, and the bathroom features a deep tub for soaking, a separate shower, and Jerusalem stone floors and shower surround.

Also on the second floor is a smaller bedroom with two twin beds that can be converted to a king with foam topper.

There is a guest bedroom with a queen bed located on the main level as well as a den that has a queen sofa bed for additional sleeping space for 1 - 2 children. The second bathroom is on this lower level.

Also, located on the property is a small 2-person guest cottage that may occasionally be used by the owners. It is a separate, unattached cottage across a small courtyard and patio. This unit is not included as part of the rental.

Another rare amenity in Carmel is the two-car garage, convenient both for parking and stowing beach gear.

Stunning Luxury Home

This is an impeccable home with perfectly manicured grounds. The master bed provides a comfortable nights sleep. Off the master deck you will watch the waves crash on the rocks from the distance towards Point Lobos. Humming birds and blue jays love to romp in the surrounding trees. The location was perfect! We drove everywhere and we particularly enjoyed the little side angled road (Mountain View) off Santa Rita that takes you down to create a 5 way stop sign in the heart of town, this made it very easy to avoid the Ocean Drive traffic. Julie is a skilled, prompt and perfect home manager! We met the home owners that occasionally occupy the guest house on the property. They are friendly, lovely people. Restaurants: Save your $, avoid Aubergine they are in crisis state. You must go to Pacific Edge, extraordinary panoramic views of Big Sur. Flying Fish was our favorite in the village. We fell in love with the chef at Roys Pebble Beach, this was our go to restaurant for food with a view! Best breakfast hands down is Katy's in the village, lines go out the door on weekends. Monterey Sea Aquarium = world class. Point Lobos Park, Big Sur, & sunsets. OMG!!! I almost forgot! Treat yourself to a foot massage at Happy Feet Massage in the village!!!!!!
