Kathy and Kevin Smith grew up in Montreal, Canada. Ocean Park was where Kevin's family spent 2 weeks every year since he was a child. Kathy came along in her teens.
They now live in Ottawa where Kevin is an Ophthalmologist and Kathy a homemaker. They have four children.
Kathy Smith purchased this house in 2002
As our children love Ocean park and we have plans to summer there in our retirement we decided to look for a place in 2002. I will never forget when this house was for sale and I took the stars to the second deck and looked through the kitchen door. My breath was taken away. We were so blessed to be able to buy it.
Just stunning views. Two decks in two environments. Front deck on ocean watching surf, seabirds, fish. Back deck over salt water marsh and bird sanctuary. One deck may be sunny, the other in shade. One in seabreeze the other not. Family outings on back deck. Ladder to loft loved by the kids, also place to disappear. Always the seagrass waving in the breezes. The lower deck daybed away from it all, surrounded by seagrass and ocean . The Outdoor shower. Clean nice amenities .
I have stayed in several other properties, this was by far the best. The house is modern, it was impeccably cleaned and the location would be hard to beat. It has a great bunk room for four children, the beds in the other two bedrooms were very comfortable.
The house is as close to the beach as the photos show, a short drive to the OOB pier (2 minutes) and less than ten minutes to Funtown.
I hope I can stay here again. Thank you to the owners.
We had enough seating and the house was the cleanest we have evr stayed at. We could have used one more bedroom as the loft was a little small for the 6'4'' 15 yr old.
We have spent a great week here, the location and the quality are unbeatable!
C'est une maison de plage de rêve notre semaine était parfaite!
