Guestbook comments from the manager

Thank you for letting us stay in your cabin. Our family enjoyed our stay. My daughter has been fighting leukemia for 2 years now. She's getting ready to go back into the hospital for a long stay. We wanted to show her a great time and we did!!! Thanks again. We hope to make it back someday.

Nice cabin in a beautiful location

  • 4 of 5

The view of the mountains and lake was wonderful. The cabin has great views from the windows and a great deck to enjoy the weather and scenery. The area was very quiet when we stayed and we appreciated it. The cabin was very clean and mostly well equipped. I did not give it 5 stars because other than the sliding doors to the deck NONE of the windows open and the bedrooms were extremely stuffy at night. The sliding doors had no screen so unless we wanted a house full of bugs and flies we could not enjoy any fresh air flow during the day or at night. It made it very difficult to sleep. A house in the summer needs air flow. Air conditioning and fans are just not the same. We managed to have a very nice time despite our lack of rest.

Owner's Response: We agree, the views and scenery are great at this cabin! We are working to get a screen door for the slider (not sure what happened to the old one). Most of the windows do open, but we are in the process of looking at how we can add screens to them as well and hope to have it resolved very soon. Hope you have a great rest of the summer!

Terrific stay

  • 5 of 5

All 5 of us had a great time at Fields Point Cabin. The highlight was our trip to Stehekin on Lady Express uplake and Lady of the Lake II downlake. The Slidewaters water park was a hit with the kids and certainly a highlight too.

The cabin was wonderful and had everything. We loved barbecuing on the deck in the evenings! Did I mention Stehekin? The cabin is a 5-minute drive from the dock at Fields Point, which cuts 30-40 minutes from the ferry ride there.

Cozy cabin, great waterfront

  • 5 of 5

Great cabin! We jumped right from the front yard into the water to go swimming. Moored the boat right in front of the house and had a great time. It's a great place to stay for families.

September Idyll.

  • 4 of 5

Had a wonderful time in this old time cabin..With all the necessary modcons. Close to Field's Point so we had great fun watching the daily arrival of the Lady of the Lake transporting passengers uplake. Beautiful views from deck. Plenty of room for 5 adults. I would suggest that you bring a Wi Fi hot spot with you if you wish to be electronically connected. A great place to kick back and relax.

Good views, dirty cabin.

  • 2 of 5

The first thing you will notice upon walking in the door is that it smells old (like a thrift store), the second will be the beautiful view out the windows. In the description it states that this cabin is "recently updated" which seems far from the truth. There is one small AC/heater in the main area that did not seem to be sufficient for the space. Our other problem were gnats that were there when we arrived and nearly ran us out of the space. The management company was helpful and prompt with responses. Well intentioned little cabin, but unfortunately fell short.

Owner's Response: Within the last 5 years, the cabin had most of the flooring replaced, new cabinets, and new appliances (including a dishwasher and washer dryer that most cabins don't have). The cabin normally doesn't smell, although if fruit and food are left out they can cause odors and gnats. We will have the a/c and heat checked as no one has ever said they were not adequate. We are constantly looking for ways to upgrade this rustic cabin, with more updates planned for the spring.
