The home is located strategically in a safe, green neighbourhood in the heart of silicon valley, 5 minutes away from downtown amenities, movie theaters, shops and hospitals. There is a large natural reserve with beautiful hiking trails walking distance from our house. One of the main connecting highways between San Francisco and San Jose (280) is 5 minutes away. Less than 10 minutes away is the Redwood City Caltrain Station that connects you to the entire Bay Area including SFO, San Francisco and Bart if you wish to cross the Bay. There is a bus line a 15 minute walk away, and buses in the area easily connect you to neighboring locations such as Menlo Park and Palo Alto.
I stayed in this darling studio cottage for five days while being treated at Stanford Medical Center. We lived for several years internationally in vacation rentals, so you can trust me when I tell you that this place is terrific and a great value for money.
Located in a leafy neighborhood with a peek of a view of SF Bay, the little house is flooded with light from all directions. It's immaculate, well furnished, and offers total serene privacy.
The tiny kitchen is attractive and adequate for a vacation stay. The owners are attentive and responsive. Although it's a studio, I never felt crowded because it's very well designed.
I highly recommend this cute place and can't wait to come back with my spouse for a real vacation!
My husband and I traveled to the area for a wedding in Woodside. The property in Emerald Hills is very attractive, inside and outside, and is everything as advertised. What I appreciated were the owner's directions to the property, the brightness of the cottage, and the view overlooking the Bay. The property is clean and comfortable, especially for two people. The owner provided all the amenities as stated in the description plus additional necessities. We were surprised to find coffee for the coffee maker and tea for me. My husband enjoyed the swing on the deck in the early evening. An added bonus was spying two doe and three fawns walking through the yard almost every morning. If you are looking for a place close to Redwood, this is your property. Comfortable and enjoyable, and we would stay here again.
We were pleased with this quiet hide away in the Emerald Hills section of Redwood City. Our daughter's family lives nearby and this was a pleasant place to stay. We usually stay in a hotel but this was nicer, cheaper and closer. The main problem we had was locating it. The GPS on the HomeAway site led us astray. We knew we were in the wrong area but the GPS was not! I had left the address at home so was relying on GPS. Our son-in-law was able to Goggle the location and assist us in finding our home away. We would stay here again. Appreciated the soft drinks and water included in the refrigerator. The coffee pot was not a Keruig but a Mr. Coffee. We had brought pods.
Thank you to the kind hosts who live on the property.
Worked very well for the two of us with the king size bed. Very clean. The Wi-Fi is spotty and not very fast. I think the router must be in the main house and the separate bungalow is at the fringe of the coverage area. Works OK, but don't plan on any streaming or heavy usage. The TV has plenty to chose from, so you will not lack for entertainment.
My husband and I recently stayed in this cute little cottage. It's perfect for two people; plenty of room, functional kitchen with all the amenities and close to everything. Super clean, too. The location is very private as the cottage is detached from the main house. There is plenty of parking, too. The long range views from the front windows are beautiful! We would definitely stay here again! Many thanks to the owners for providing such comfortable accommodations!
Comfortable, peaceful and inviting. Owner is personable and accommodating. The property is very well maintained and clean. We enjoyed everything about our stay.
