Why Carol Wester chose Staples

This house is one-of-a-kind. This is a custom-build tiny home with sliding barn doors, tons of windows, great hillside views, several porches and everything you need to relax for a few days, weeks or year...

The property is in downtown Staples. The city doesn't have any street lights or stores. Be prepared to relax and enjoy all the benefits of Central Texas, without the crowds. The birds, stars and sunrises are amazing. You can canoe from Martindale to Staples. This place is ideal for cyclist and nature lovers.

What makes this house unique

Fabulous Find

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I had an event to attend for the weekend but needed to bring our dog with us. The Tiny Home was so much better than any hotel we could've stayed at. It was very comfortable, just the right size, quiet, and the fact that we could bring our dog with us and not worry about her was awesome. Carol put in all the personal touches to make us feel welcome. This definately made the list!

Idyllic country getaway

  • 4 of 5

This tiny home was just as described and used the space very well. The A/C was almost too cold (because I'm a wimp), there were lights everywhere and more towels than we could ever need. The shower was excellent, the fridge spacious and the bed comfortable. If you're a porch sitter, you have three to choose from! The house is down some winding roads, but not too far for us to eat in Gruene and tube in New Braunfels.

The only reason for 4 stars was the critters that joined us. I've been in the Hill Country quite a bit for over a decade of summer camp, but I've never dealt with a spider the size of a plum AND a scorpion in the same day. We know it was very hot, but some better bug protection or insulation may do the trick.

We would definitely stay here again, all things considered!

I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a nice, inexpensive place to stay. The owner had everything we could possibly need from coffee and creamer to extra toothbrushes. We loved our weekend here!

This little house was absolutely awesome. Carol had everything ready when we arrived. The fully-stocked home was definitely a “home away from home”.
