About Carol Wester

We live in Staples and are active in our community. We hope to show you the simplicity and beauty of our town.

Carol Wester purchased this house in 2014

Why Carol Wester chose Staples

This house is one-of-a-kind. This is a custom-build tiny home with sliding barn doors, tons of windows, great hillside views, several porches and everything you need to relax for a few days, weeks or year...

The property is in downtown Staples. The city doesn't have any street lights or stores. Be prepared to relax and enjoy all the benefits of Central Texas, without the crowds. The birds, stars and sunrises are amazing. You can canoe from Martindale to Staples. This place is ideal for cyclist and nature lovers.

What makes this house unique

Fabulous Find

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I had an event to attend for the weekend but needed to bring our dog with us. The Tiny Home was so much better than any hotel we could've stayed at. It was very comfortable, just the right size, quiet, and the fact that we could bring our dog with us and not worry about her was awesome. Carol put in all the personal touches to make us feel welcome. This definately made the list!

Wonderful, private get away! Everything anyone could need in a tiny house that feels like a home.

  • 5 of 5

The location is great - easy trips to Austin, San Antone, Luling, Lockhart, etc. Beautiful hill country (the sunsets & sunrises were greatly enjoyed on the front patio of the tiny home). The home had EVERYTHING we needed, was extremely comfortable, and the neighborhood felt safe and peaceful (an unwinding was desperately needed by me & my husband, and this home provided that). Our dogs were happy too (dog bowls, treats, & blankets for them were provided!) - and, the easy access for their walks was definitely better than anything provided by a hotel. We've been here before (during "Harvey") - and looked forward to coming back at a time where we could enjoy our visit. We really appreciated the lovely Christmas lights this time. These folks take great care of these tiny homes - and - they take care of their visitors. We HIGHLY recommend them!

Beautiful property in a quiet, secluded area

  • 5 of 5

This is the second tiny home that we've stayed at in this tiny home park and it was a fantastic experience. This unit was very nice and had a modern cabin feel to it, and felt open in its layout. It is located in a secluded area and is ideal for a nice, relaxing trip to the hill country. I'll continue staying at Carol's tiny homes any time I take a trip out that way. I highly highly recommend.

Beautiful home. Will be back!

  • 5 of 5

We loved that we were out in the country but close to many things to do. My husband has been wanting a hill country motorcycle ride so I planned this birthday trip for him. The home was emmaculate and had everything you'd expect from a high end hotel. Coffee with creamers and bottled water in the fridge was a helpful touch. And the toiletries in the bathroom really helped when we realized we hadn't packed our bodywash. We spent one morning up in Austin having breakfast and swimming in Barton Springs. We drove down 6th street and stopped at a local cigar shop before heading to Driftwood for world famous BBQ at Salt Lick. Dinner in the San Marcos square nearby offered a variety of options for dinner and fun nightlife. We are boring though so we settled for cookies from insomnia cookie company and headed home. I'm not sure if that bed is hypnotic or the busy day for me but I passed out and didn't move until the morning. On our last day we drove down to New Braunfels to float the Comal River. This home offered a central location for touring through all there is to do out there if you're up for the busy long day. And since this was our first getaway since having a baby, we were definitely up to making the most of our trip! Thanks again for sharing this home. We will be back!

Cute House with all the comforts of home!

  • 5 of 5

From start to finish we had a wonderful stay. Carol was absolutely great to work with and had everything set up for our get a way weekend. We wanted to tour Lockhart and go to all of the famous BBQ joints and this was a perfect location for home base. We were about 10 minutes or so from downtown Lockhart and it was nice to get totally away from the city. The home had everything we needed and was very nicely decorated. There isn't a ton of space but more than you would find in a hotel room so it was just perfect for our needs. All of the fixtures and appliances were brand new and the bed was extremely comfortable. Overall this can't be beat! We had a fantastic time and would head back in a moments notice!
